I own several PWS rifles and I can attest to their quality.  They are a great company to deal with and stand behind their products as well. I'd go with a MK214 without a second thought.

If you are interested in a non-NFA version (with the muzzle device pinned and welded) give them a call before ordering.  In the past they told me that they could pin and weld my suppressor-specific muzzle device in lieu of the factory supplied one.  If you are going to suppress the rifle it will save you a few hundred dollars and lots of aggravation down the road.

Since they all work fine I went with a PWS as it weighs less and like that it doesn't have a piston spring and a 1/8 barrel.  Not sure I need any of that, but it does weigh less, which after shoulder surgery, even 4 oz is the difference between aiming or not.  I can barely get the bag of food from a drivethrough in the window.  Once healed I'll still like the lighter.

Having both in my safe right now, I think that's a gross overstatement.

Is the PWS a better rifle?  Yes. It's a little more accurate, lighter and balances much better.  Both are fantastically reliable and both are accurate rifles.  The Ruger is cheaper, but it's certainly not a "low end" rifle by any means.  If all I had was the Ruger, I wouldn't feel bad at all.

Which one do you prefer and what's your budget like?
