Do the 12.7 inch barrels have the forged FSB with the flashing removed?
Thanks Edit. Also what is the finish on this and the repo moderator they make like? Is it black or the correct gray parkerizing? |

I'm behind the times on these, are there that many people building Menusar clones with the 12.7s?

The main purpose is to perm attach the brownells repo moderator to it and have a 16in OAL barrel length. This keeps the ratios similar so it doesn't look off by having either a correct length barrel or moderator with the other component making up for the length. |

Really tempted to go for that 12.7 for my IDF carbine but I wish it was 1/7 or even 1/9.

Has a bayonet lug and no front sling swivel. Does the 12.7 inch length seem weird? Would not a 11.5 with a 4.5 moderator get you to 16"?

Seems like on their 12.7 & 14.7 barrels they would have went with a round hand guard endcap.......

These would be good for a .22LR build, no? Especially considering the 1-in-12 twist?
Wonder if they're truly lightweight/pencil barrel profile? |

They do come with a triangle handguard cap, if i remember correctly brownells said it was a mistake, and they would switch to round on their next run (if there is another run). |

Uh. I guess I'm going to back burner the build for now to get the correct parts and hope Trump removes SBRs from the NFA by the time I get a barrel.

Got mine a week ago, same thing: triangular HG cap, flashing on FSB, no front sight parts and someone installed the delta assy backwards on barrel. No real problem as it went straight out to ADCO for shortening to 11.5, gas port work and reassembly with round HG cap and delta pack for my SBR.
