So I traded a acog for this rifle because I always wanted a real SP1. I liked it but just wasn't exactly how I wanted it. Don't worry the original CM forge CHROME BORE upper, carrier with unshrouded firing pin, FCG(with goofy chopped disconector/notched hamer), dumb screw pivot pin and trap door butt stock is being stored for if I ever sell it. Never will though. So anyways to the point I like the earlier features better so I ended up buying a older no forge code SP1 upper with a cmpb barrel, a M16 FCG which I modded to SP1 spec, pivot pin adapter that makes sense and is a million times easier to remove for cleaning and a shrouded FA M16 carrier. Also added the D stock which I had around. I love the rifle now and still has all Colt parts. Got all the great stuff from the retro pusher man from Pflugerville. Now I need to find a nylon green sling to replace the cotton M1 one one it now. Oh I'm not a fan of the black silent sling that came with it so that got boxed up too. Here are the pics. Action feels a lot better too when cycling. Will test fire it tomorrow. Sometime in the future I may dress it up as a 601 clone.

Thanks. Yah I ended up missing that ACOG so I ended up getting another one. I always wanted a SP1 but they were always out of reach until I found the guy who wanted to trade. Lucked out on that. I really wanted a earlier one when I got the1982 one. Figure it's cheaper to mod it to my liking with parts. It's now a lot more like a 1973 which had the earlier stock and no forge upper. Plus I like the FA 16 carrier and modded FCG. Doesn't have the goofy notch in the hammer. Probably more reliable too. The new pivot pin I got is nice. Don't always carry two flat head screwdrivers with me. I figured I needed one real Colt SP1.
