What is the best method, tools and cleaning stuff to use to clean milsurp furniture sets with? Hot soapy water with a brush?

Thanks!

Is there sticker residue on the stock or HG's? Soapy Water with an abrasive pad works for me, if sticker residue then you really gotta put some elbow grease into it.

I've used orange pumice hand cleaner soap to some success.

Yup CLP bath and a rag, a light brush if it needs it.

CLP might not be best to put on a stock as it's know to cause dermatitis break out.  Nothing a little Cortisone10 won't fix but could be a bit unsightly for a week or so treated or much longer if not on certain unlucky individuals.  Scotch brite, wet sand or most anything lightly abrasive with warm soapy water will usually suffice.

I used to make up a solution of dish soap and rubbing alcohol and hot water, with a scrubbing pad to take off stickum and grime from plastic. Or just use the rubbing alco first then wash. Coat with your favorite preservative. Has anyone used silicone spray on plastic rubber AR parts? Used to be a goto item for gear heads on car trim and so on. I haven't used it on gun parts, but wondered if anyone else had pros/cons.

OK, used a sink full of hot soapy water and a scotchbrite pad(used very carefully and lightly). Pics as promised.

No broken or chipped teeth:

I think they'll work for my truck/trunk gun build.

Has anyone used silicone spray on plastic rubber AR parts?

I've never used the silicone spray on furniture.  Used plenty of it on Holley gaskets before reusable became available to save a few coins replacing jets,  not to mention spark plug wires on the mud bogger's.  Nothing like getting wires and cap wet on an old jeep blasting through 2-3 feet of mud or H2O to ruin one's Dingo's or Frye's...

I have used Meguiar'sTtrim Detailer goop with I'm gonna assume silicone.  Works real good.  I always wash off with warm soapy water after sitting for a day or so.  Stuff will put a little oil back in the plastic and doesn't peel like the spray did over time.  Kinda gets rid of the mottling that many here desire and returns to more original  finish.

OP,  looking good.  Not much to it.  A little soap usually goes a long way.

nice!  if you want to give it the "martin sheen" ;)
hit it with some lead remover cloth
works wonders to give almost any part of your AR a 'neat' look.

Now, rub it down with alcohol. More grime will probably come off.

Then hit it with Meguiar's interior detailer, or you can slather it with hand lotion and let it sit overnight and buff it off with a microfiber.

Wow those came out great! I'll give the soap and water a try next time instead of the CLP.
