Not my auction, nor did I bid on it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unknown-Collapsible-Stock-Part-black-car-colt-bushmaster-223-5-56mm-/371215045220?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&autorefresh=true&hash=item566e241264&nma=true&si=rPqceMRH4eHrx8CMJD3swD4p4%252Bo%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I'm asking because I just bought one at the funshow.

I didn't know what it was but the price was right (under $10)

Its plastic is thicker than used on the current CAR - Style stocks I've seen.

Fits a commercial receiver extension.

My original intention was to just pass it on or use in a lightweight build  but I'm afraid it is giving me the

itch to do a XM-177 / CAR style build to replace the one I had to sell.

commercial ones from the 80s/90s.  doesn't look like the early bushmaster but i have seen some like that off olympic/sgw or essential arms.  parts got swapped around a lot on those without a lot of factory documented ones so can't really be sure what it came off of.

That one has the same mold ejector dimples as mine and the one in the ebay ad.

Probably it.

The eBay one went for $46.00 for just the stock while the whole shebang is $42.00 from Model 1.

Who knows might be worth it, not having to deal with Model 1 or anyone remotely related to that lineage...

BW, The OP's stock looks kinda similar to me to the ones you sold a while back. I can't get to mine right now to check.

those i had a while back had an angled sling loop on top.  the checkering was cut into the stock as well but the pattern was larger and a little more bubbly.  this one looks like it's lightly crosshatch cut.

pic of the ones i had

Does it have that molding defect at the top of the stock? (Where the cross-hatching has a line through it  and doesn't line up.)

The cross hatching is even on mine must be different manufacturer or before some repair was made to the mold.

I'm not sure where you're talking, but if the very top I assumed that was some sort of damage.
Here is mine:
