Or just sell/trade me that upper for a couple of nice chewy 603 uppers!

I'm sick for slicks!

ETA

Oh and I voted for partial of course since it's a FrankenAiredale! Mix it up as much as possible!

Seriously Dude! Those slick sides will jam when you need them most! Save yourself!

I'm only worried about your safety!

And I like pie too!

Looks like the makings of a 723 to me... Slip a fake can over the M4 barrel to hide most of it. Just a thought...

I would totally send you this slickside for a couple of 603's - but its an NDS, not colt and I am sure you want the real deal.  my other slickside uppers are all built out and I have a balance of slick and FA models 603/604 plus 651/652 and I wouldn't want to break up the pairs!    Looks like partial fence is winning the poll!

You obviously haven't seen my chewed on Colt uppers! Fresh from the kits! I've already cleaned the guano off of them!

<diggin in his brown box>

I DO like the slickies though!

I'm partial to partials too!

I voted XM16E1 lower. A respectable member here turned me on to this Colt 16" pencil upper today for a XM177 project. Which ever way you go you have a winner! Love the slap side upper.

I voted slickside all the way, there is just something about them that does it for me.

I've caught myself eyeing them more and more lately, I've purposely avoided searching for any related items as I know that the fever is setting in.

There is really no wrong answer !  However, it would be hard to find fault with a partial fence lower on that upper

I voted for the XM16E1 Partial Fence Lower, But, you really couldn't go wrong with the 601 Style Lower either.

Either one would give you a Great looking Carbine.  And it will have very smooth lines.

My current build, double slick-side with pencil barrel and Fiberlite stock

Prior build: double slick-side with aluminum collapsible and M4 barrel

I probably save almost half a pound using Fiberlite instead of aluminum, and pencil barrel instead of M4 contour.  Both barrels were 1/7" twist, so it could use MK262 Mod1 77 grain OTM ammo.  The current build is 5 lbs, 7 oz. empty, W/O mag, and IIRC the prior was just over 6 lbs. (Like 6 lbs, 2 oz.)

Rangemaster - I also have a fiberlite ready to go for this build, and I also really like the slabside lower (slickside for upper, slabside for lower? )  Anyway - looks like I need to just order one of each (slabside and partial fence) from NDS and then I will have started on my next build too!  RBRD and all that...

ETA:  Also love the Camillus - need to get a knife like that to add to my retro stash!

great looking upper no matter which lower you go with

i built a GUU-5/P clone this past summer based mostly on the pic that Megaro posted.   i robbed the alum stock off it though for my 653sb clone and replaced it with an n1 car stock.

i voted partial fence
