would the lower  be a a2 lower or a a1 lower?  what year did colt start using a2 lowers?

i would  like to do a 723 with a m4 barrel but only have a2 lowers to use.

When you say USGI, keep in mind that most of the guns were purchased outside normal channels, and were subject to Colt's mix and match practices.

There are several pictures of Squeals using 727's, both with 603/M16A1 and M16A2 lower receiver designs, but with S-S-F fire control groups.

i wonder if there was such a thing as a a2 lower with a a1 upper and m4 barrel?

i wonder what the lower in that picture  said on it?  m16a2?
