Check out the variation guide in the forum for some good pictures of original barrels. Value would depend greatly on the period it was made as Colt made many changes over time.

Fortis,
From the variation guide, the barrels are Starting in 1974 and after serial number 4,900,000 chrome bores were marked C MP CHROME BORE. This marking was used all the way until the end of M16A1 production: Barrel nuts, front sights and sling swivels are present. Another "complete transitional upper" has been offered. Getting more information on it. |

I've never seen NIW Colt Barrel assemblies with slip ring assemblies installed, they could very well be NOS barrels but someone installed the slipring assemblies. NOT a bad thing and a small bonus if the slip ring assemblies are NOS as well.
