Does anyone know if this slip over flash hider actually slips over the barrel 5.5 inches or is 5.5 inches in total length? I have a pencil style barrel I want to use but will need at least 5.5 inches of total slip over to cover the whole contour.

It will extend 3" past the base of the muzzle threads.

PM me and you can HAVE this one.

No. Thats absolutely a lie in that add. Its NOT a slip over. Its this on the bottom(the one mounted is a Bushy 4.5")....

Bottom one. I have it placed offset, since thats where it would be on the 11.5" barrel in the pic. The grenade ring isn't countersunk like the real deal, so it makes the whole assembly long enough for 16.25" overall if pinned.

How it looks mounted to a 11.5" barrel.

I like the way the bushy with the grenade ring looks. Where did you get the ring? It lools like I'm going to have to buy a new barrel anyway, so I might as well get an 11.5 and pin a bushy on there.

Many here will scoff at it, but that grenade ring is an exact CNC machined replica from a big arse airsoft website. Ordered a few direct from overseas. Like $8 each. Machined steel thats also been parkerized. They're absolutely for looks only anyway right?...and I'd just about guarantee they'd work just fine doing the real thing if need be. What would be the difference anyway? I'd bet zero. Brick also sells his on GB. He makes good stuff.  I "think" they only come with the FH as well. But I'm sure other better informed posters here can help with that.

You can't see it of course, but the Bushy FH tapers down thinner where it meets the G-ring, so it fits into it, so-to-speak. You can see the cut out for it on the unused ring in this pic. Fits together perfectly.

Thanks for all the great pics. Will a 11.5" bbl, bushy FH, and that ring get me to 16"? Also do you have a link to that grenade ring? Thanks!

If the Bushy is the same dimensions as Brick's moderator, you need a barrel that is at least 12.625" (12 5/8") in length. With the 4.5" moderator and grenade pinned and welded on, it will give you about 16.1" OAL. That keeps it legal.

Okay, good to know. Looks like I will have to get a custom length barrel or use a slip over on a 14.5" barrel. Hmmm.

Correct. The Bushy(4.5") would require an approx 12.5+" barrel to get to 16">.

I think I'm going to get the Brick version and have a barrel cut down.
