Holy crap. I haven't seen that before. It looks huge, and it's heavy (over 8oz).

Only shot it for the first time yesterday, 30rds. There is just a little carbon on the light bezel. Don't think its gonna hurt it.

I put 600rds through it over the weekend with the light bezel next to the flash hider. Hardly any carbon build up on the bezel and the lens was clear. How long is long term?

To give some size reference, since not everyone can picture the size of an AK:

I just used a black sharpie to darken the front of the CF tube, it looks a lot better, I only noticed it in the pictures.

Just need a muzzle device to have on when the can isn't.

Yes it isQD. I had to go with a QD system so I could remove the piston.  They have a QD screw on version as well.  But this one works with many different flash hiders/ comps.  I have shot it on my MSAR E4 although I will need to shim my jam nut so the BS sits upright.  As it is now on that weapon the BS is canted about 25 degs.  Still works just fine only cosmetically doesn't look right.

RRA AR-pistol in 9mm.

Troy buis that I had lying around/
Aimpoint Comp2 that used to sit on my carbine until I bought a Tac 30 1-4X.
Magpul AFG.
Sig SBX brace.

My first pistol build is 99% complete.  Build list:

BCM 11.5" LW complete upper with BCG and Mod 5 CH (Black Friday deals rule! )
Anderson lower with integrated TG (more BF)
PSA LPG with ALG ACT FCG (fun with acronyms!)
Battle Arms Development BAD-ASS selector
Thordsen enhanced pistol RE, cover and CAA saddle
Magpul MOE-SL handguard and PG
DD A1.5 rear sight
Smith Vortex FH

All that's left to do is install an IWC QD socket into the handguard, but the mother is on so tight I'm leaving it for another day.  I damn near lost my fingernails trying to remove the HG as is.    I'm hoping to get to the range with it this weekend - I have an H buffer in it right now and will also take along standard and H2 buffers for tuning.

I'm planning on leaving this one iron sights only - if I decide to RDS it later I'd probably swap out the DD BUIS with a folding one, probably my usual Hahn.  I don't mind FSBs with red dots, but not fixed rears.

Yes! Another MOE SL pistol! Looks great.  I had a horrific time installing those handguards too, but they look great once installed.

I think I finally found a build that the ST handguards look good on.   Turned out nice! Looks like you got some of the same BF sales I got,  but I'll have to wait as they're going under the tree.

Why did you remove the brace? How is the cord in comparison to the brace shooting wise?
