I've built pistol uppers in varying lengths over the years, using barrels from just about every vendor, but I have to say these VooDoo barrels really stand out in performance, fit, finish etc.. |

She weighs about as much as the rifle beside her and/or my normal M4's from work but that's to be expected given the drop in KAC rail, EOTech, full size rear sight, etc. The H&K magazine certainly isn't lithe either. Next time I may do a lighterweight build...perhaps in ~7.5" and/or 300 BLK. r- Ray |

Most people use pieces of inner-tube, foam, glue, and just about anything else to hold it in place. The Thordsen cover fixes that problem though since it was made for the CAA ST1 saddle as well as the CAA cheek riser. I tried the sb15, but didn't like it. The Thordsen/CAA combo on the other hand......perfect. |

But I mean that in a good way. Very nice!! How do you like the C More? Thanks. It's good. It's expensive for what it is, but it fits the build. The dot is pretty well defined compared to the budget red dots. It's lost cred as a tactical sight though it still has a strong following in competition circles so it can't be all bad. I recently checked one out on an old-school A1 style AR with a goose neck mount and was impressed with it. I originally wanted to use an ACOG mini, but it'd be about the same price as the gun itself. Could not justify that on a fun gun. |

I guess I need to read up a little more on it. Most of the saddles I have seen are on carbine tubes. So the Thordsen cover will go over a pistol tube. Edit - So it appears that the Thordsen cover does not go on a pistol buffer tube - from their site "PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS COMPATIBLE WITH MIL-SPEC AND COMMERCIAL CARBINE BUFFER TUBES ONLY. This is to provide a secure fit and allow the CAA ST1 to fit like a glove. If you get one, it's worth the few extra bucks to upgrade to the QD version. |

It's definitely something I have in mind for the future though. What optic do you have mounted? |
