here is my 1st pistol build...and my 1st AR build......:)
thanks for all the info. i am waiting on my BCG and buffer set up. i hope to take it out and put some rounds down range this week. cheers eddie

S&W M&P15 lower, 6 position buffer tube, 14.5" Colt .223 barrel, MagPul MOE carbine handguards, Magpul trigger guard, Pearce 1911 grip frame, A2 upper, and el cheapo BSA red dot. Next step is to cut the unknown muzzle device off and shorten the barrel to 10.5". And, better optics.

And done-ish. FSB was canted a bit left, got it shifted over with a slight modification to the shoulder slot on the upper and the Z-mount puts the el cheapo BSA red dot into co-witness. |

Got my pistol lower mostly done, I want to add a Noveske qd endplate for single-point sling or a Magpul ASAP plate, but its together and function checks okay. Mocked up with my Dissy upper, seriously the ugliest pistol ever..
RGuns lower, Palmetto LPK with DPMS trigger, RRA tube with carbine spring/buffer. Have my upper components at work, need to assemble still. Matching sand upper receiver ( RGuns receivers - good quality and finish, douchebag company ) along with Magpul gen2 flip-ups, Bushmaster 11.5 with an A2 FH and lo-pro gas block. Alpha 11 for a rail. Going to run with a CMMG 22lr kit until I snap up another BCG. This is an exciting build! |

Seekins makes them. The BAR has a larger diameter and the SAR has a smaller one. I think it's a BAR in the pic just not 100% I'm lookin at the SAR or fortis for my next build

Getting there. Just need to assemble the guts in the pistol lowers...
Thinking of setting one up as a pistol under 26" OAL and the other as Title 1 Firearm over 26" OAL with VFG An AFG man work its way on the Block Ii upper, I am thinking.

I'm sure you know that though, we look out for people around here, haha I will have two pistol lowers-one modified for over 26" the other for under 26"..., maybe more lowers...I will just assemble the 10 or so stripped lowers as pistols first, then build them as rifles..
And since I already kind of use the AFG type grip hold even with a VFG installed, I will likely just go ahead and use a AFG on the Block II anyway...since I have the insight dual switch for the light and eventual laser.

What flash suppressor is that? How effective is it at reducing felt muzzle blast for the shooter?
