Do you worry about the folder at all?

When my SBR gets the go ahead, it's mainly going to be setup as a 8.5 BO.  With the folder, it will fit in my laptop back pack, but I want to be sure it's solid before I drop the money.

Or just people who are smart enough to know that "envious" was the word you were looking for, not "jealous"...

and also smart enough to know how dumb it is to put a folder on a firearm that cannot function while folded...

I don't see how it's dumb.  Not like a firearm can function while it's inside a case anyway.  The buffer tube design is a pretty significant handicap in the storage department.  Who the hell uses a weapon with the stock folded anyway?

Glad somebody else likes it. My only complaint is the screw placement.

I can't get it on my 8.5" upper because the gas block in the way. But that is the rail's problem imo.

I have one on my 14.5" carbine and on my 10.5" Upper.

By the way I noticed you are using Sig MPX sights, how are you liking them on an AR15?

I have those on my 8.5" upper as well. They sit a little lower than standard height sights. But they are usable.

Bought a KAK micro flash can to try on my 10.5".  It's the exact same length and weight as the A2 flash hider.  Trying to go to the range tomorrow to test it out.

Looks good, personally I hated the length of the original.

8.5" Barrel + 3" flash hider didn't make much sense to me. It looked sweet, but I simply went to a longer barrel and a BRT Comp.

Wish I seen them coming out with the micro cans... Woulda cost me 1/2 the price.

I was wondering about these - have you used a KAK slimline can or the standard to compare it to?

The Sig sights work great. Found the set brand new for $40 shipped, couldn't pass it up. I think Sig uses those same sights on all their rifles, don't they? M400, 516, MCX, etc.

I've got the KAK micro slimline on my 7.5" 7.62x39. Love how short and light it is. Can't beat it for 25 bucks.

When you're shooting, it sounds about the same as a 16" .223 with flash hider. But when you stand on the side to take pics while other people shoot it...you can feel it in your chest lol.

Throws some nice fireballs

I propose you AR15 pistol owners that use a Shockwave blade (or similar),
to go the following way, in order to camouflage the blade to a more stock looking item.

Naturally, function of non-stock remains unchanged. We simply do not shoulder the blades, so function wise nothing changes.

However, you add (and it's completely reversible in seconds) these tubes for various uses (batteries) which you find, actually, embedded into the SOPMOD stocks.

We're basically just adding them separately to the blade thanks to velcro straps (the velcro shown in my pictures is the one shipped with PEQ15s, perfect size and look and function wise, compatible with US Mil gear in general). Or just rubber bands (also used, two types).

The cylinder is extremely sturdy in that position and with those laces; it won't move.

Also, it seems to have a perfect location right there; there seems to be a perfect spot to hold it tight.

So... here it is.

(just one for now, ordered 3 more, two in black for the Mod 0 and another one in FDE for the Mod 1, shown).

AR15 Pistol Blade
by SoloDallas, on Flickr

Those cylinders (meant for battery storage) I bought from Amazon, but I believe you can find them almost anywhere.

ETA: as an additional touch, one might then just paint both the blade AND the cylinders either black OR FDE and call it a day.

I am actually going to try just that as soon as I get the additional cylinders.

Once again, it's all done exclusively with the intention of changing the looks, never the function.

ETA, even cleaner look (pic below)

Swapped a handstop for an AFG. Still perfectly legal on a pistol (naturally) but probably more US Military accurate.

This gun is now probably complete as the project I could make of it. Can't go anywhere else from here, given where I am.

Upper is all Colt and original.

What flash hider are you using to mount the Warden? Does it have the teeth the standard mounts use for suppressors? I really want one, but ive read they can get loose without the "tooth'ed" mounts.

I also have no clue about anything surefire

I have tried a couple ones and they both have that teeth (that is needed) and that - yes - will accomodate SF's silencers as well (actually it was made for the suppressors and now it works on the Warden as well).

Here I am using the three prong SF (on the Mk18 mod 1 looking pistol).

On the Mk18 mod 0 looking pistol, I am using one of several SF flash hiders (not a brake) that also fits suppressors and the Warden.

Mk18 Mod 1 Pistol
by SoloDallas, on Flickr

I have tried a couple ones and they both have that teeth (that is needed) and that - yes - will accomodate SF's silencers as well (actually it was made for the suppressors and now it works on the Warden as well).

Here I am using the three prong SF (on the Mk18 mod 1 looking pistol).
On the Mk18 mod 0 looking pistol, I am using one of several SF flash hiders (not a brake) that also fits suppressors and the Warden.

Thanks for the info, ill sort things out and eventually pick the parts up.
