Latest pistol build. I call it the XN-23. Based off the "fictional" N-23. NODAKSPUD top charging upper. Brownell's Slabside lower. Model1's 7.5" heavy barrel with aluminum handguard and 3 prong hider. And rounded out with a SB-A3 brace. I have an A1 pistol grip coming so I can get rid of the A2 style. What I'm looking for is 3pos (short) buffer tube and a slick side bolt carrier (w/o FA serration's). Preferably chrome. Enjoy!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. UTG short buffer tube that came off a Mech tech CCU. Apparently unobtainium now
 Found a LWRC UCIW short stock. I can use the tube, then have a CAR short brace made up... Boom!

11.5 HD Build (my first build)
 Started gathering parts Sep 2020, quickly finished up Mar 2021. Kinda wonder if I could have done better at $1700. I love it, though. Got her zeroed on Saturday, feels pretty nice. Definitely nicer than the A2s and M4s I used on active duty. Only fired about 60 rounds - saving the rest for the house until I stock up. Good number of things have changed since I last posted.
Heres my 10.5 300blk and 11.5 5.56  Absolutely LOVE the emissary development handbrake! The FDE EXPS3-0 I used to have on the 11.5 was sacrificed to my Colt Block II clone lol So it needs a replacement, likely an MRO or a T-1 / T-2 if I can find a killer deal on one. |

This is a ~30 dollar handguard from Acme machine handguard I've had in a parts box for years. Decided to mount it on a range blaster for the lulz.
Spray paint and masking take cut to random shapes. Had some fun with the colors.

 And Demonstrated Concepts on YouTube  It wasnt 100% planned out part by part. I kinda cobbled together a combination of the two inspirational pistols with some parts I had on hand and some that I had to purchase for the project. There are some cheap parts and some nice parts      |
