I posted a new thread regarding the 9mm LRBHO problem that I and some others are having. If your AR9 won’t lock back when empty, try what I did.

Handguard is DIY. I picked up a 4 inch knurled tube with aluminium barrel nut that has a 2-inch OD and 8.25 inches of 2-inch ID carbon fiber tube.
I cut the aluminium handguard in half and the faced it square with my lathe, then drilled and reamed the holes in the cf tube and then installed the handguard and epoxied the cf tube to it. I wanted to be able to easily remove the cf tube handguard to get to my adjustable gas block. Probably more info than you were looking for, but that's the story. |

Is that intentional for a purpose, or you don’t like the covers? I’m very curious lol |

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

I just finished up this ar9 last night and put 200 flawless rounds down range today without a hiccup! I'm very happy with it. |

And I know this may seem random but, Have you shot it "rapid fire"? View Quote Thanks! It's really nothing very high end or special. PSA complete upper receiver with a 4" nitrided 1/10 twist heavy barrel, 6" lightweight mlok rail, psa fluted flash can muzzle device, Gen 4 Hybrid 9mm BCG. Nitride treated 8620 steel bolt, with an enhanced firing pin and external 5.56 style extractor. (The bolt carrier group is compatible with most aftermarket fire control groups), and the charging handle that came with it. Spikes spartan lower Spikes standard lower parts kit SB PDW brace Primary arms advanced micro dot And as you illuded to, a Tacfire Glock 9mm magwell adapter. The buffer/spring setup was actually just whatever I had laying around. I did rapid fire and no hiccups. I know a lot of people don't think to highly of PSA, but I have 3 of their uppers (12.5" 6.5 grendel, 8.5" 556 and this one) and haven't had a single issue. Don't get me wrong, I have some of the high end names, but I also just like when shit works the way it's supposed to! I put 115gr. WWB, 124gr. Remington green UMC, a few rounds of 158gr. IMI subs, and some critical defense 115gr. Hornady. Everything ran great. The only criticism I have is that the 5 mags I used are all tight in the mag adapter. They don't drop freeI, and I would swear that in the video I saw they did, but I can't find the video now. I may call them and see what the deal is. |

Finally got it painted up with aluma-hyde. Since this photo I stripped the paint off the pivot and takedown pin heads, looks better that way.

Not sure how much an ACOG would be. Both of mine are around 8 years or so old. Probably won't need new lamps in them for quite a while. I paid shipping there. Trijicon included the return shipping in the quote. I forgot how bright the Amber tritium was till I got the Reflex back. |
