7.5" SS barrel with 1x7 and 223 Wylde chamber. Anderson lower and KAK tube and Shockwave blade. Magpul MBUS sights, MOE+ grip with some rubber rail covers I already had. Also added a TLR-1 I had. KAK Micro Flashcan. 7" keymod handguard and installed a Holosun HS515BU red dot. Outstanding sight by the way, has the circle with a dot (like an Eotech), auto on, auto off after 10 minutes of no movement, quick detach, killflash and flip open covers. Updated photo |

CMMG upper/lower - was 7.3" now 10" DD bbl. YHM light weight rail Vortex SPARC-AR AAC 556SD VERY nice shooter. Releasable zip-tie is to hold VTac sling as a solid unit until I need/want to use it. I try to keep this as a go-to rifl...err...pistol that I can grab but still equipped with a sling - as streamlined as possible. Slings have the darnedest ability to wrap themselves around all kinds of stuff when you grab the rifle quickly...I think they are related to and only eclipsed by ear-buds in their ability to spontaneously tangle |

That particular one I've had almost since they released the APEGs and I don't really remember if it was tight or not. I just bought a second and it was very, very tight, but it slipped on without too much of an issue. |

Hey guys! I've been perusing this thread for quite some time to get some inspiration for my first AR build (second AR). I've got [almost] all of the parts together now, but couldn't wait to post a pic up. Just waiting on the BCG and upper parts to come in the mail to complete it. I decided to go for a pretty budget build while not skimping too much. I was wondering if anyone had any issues with the CH grazing the foam pad on the buffer tube? I slapped this lower on my full size AR upper in order to test any build issues and noticed that the CH would push the foam back a bit.
I apologize for the crappy cell phone pic, that everyone on all forums everywhere can't stand! XD

7.5" blackout that belongs to a buddy who just finished putting it together:
faxon 7.5” bbl with fitted bolt, superlative arms bleed off gas block, slickside aero upper, anderson lower, clark handguard, dpms lpk, law folder, kak tube and blade, trijicon rmr, trijicon mount, aac 51t mount.... aac can is on the way

I finally got my XProducts side charge upper in this morning. So I thought I'd just throw all this together. This is my first AR Pistol and 2nd AR build. It's a 9-1/2" 300 BLK. Also I plan to build a 9" .22LR upper for this pistol. Specs are;
•Phase 5 HexOne pistol buffer tube •Houge overmold grip •Mega trigger •Nibx Hammer & disconnecter •Trying the low power JP Hammer springs (that trigger feels sweet!) I'm going to see how those springs work soon. •KNS pins •RRA selector •Xproducts side chg upper •Fail Zero nibx BCG •Matrix 9" Victor Keymod handguard •SLR adjustable gas block •Ground Zero A2 flash hider •Meprolight Tru Dot RDS •An old pair of MBUS for now •Pmags and that's a AR Stoner mag in the picture, I hope it runs ok, it is more compact than a 20 rnd pmag I need to get some pic rail and a light for it. Also need to decide if and what afg I might want. Need a qc sling socket for the handguard, although the single point attachment on rear plate isn't too bad. For now it has a standard buffer and spring. I'm leaning toward a Kynshot buffer and Sprinco spring. I'll see how it shoots first. ETA- I couldn't wait. I went out and zeroed the red dot at 45 yards today, maybe should have used 40 yd zero. At 25 yards with a red dot i shot a group of three that were all touching cloverleafs. I was thrilled! I had to open the gas block up to 8 of 15 clicks. That block came off an old carbine 5.56 and only had to open 5~6 clicks on it. The JP low power springs worked fine on Hornady ammo. |

1st is my 5.56, Anderson Arms lower, Hardened Arms 7.5" upper, paracord wrapped buffer tube, B-Square mag well grip, ambi safety, plus other bits..

First AR build in 556, forums have been super helpful with the build. Now waiting on the can. Been waiting since June so hopefully I'll have it by this June??!
BCM 11.5- read about 100 different forum posts on what the "best" length was in 556, guess I will have to see for myself. Aero stripped upper & lower KAK Shockwave Midwest Industries mlok rail. I think it was the 9in Velocity 4.5 Trigger- trigger feels awesome so far for only $149, although this is my first non mil spec trigger so not much to compare it to Cheapo brownells bcg

Recently completed. I went through several configurations prior to this latest one. I like it so it will stay like this. Spikes Tactical lower.
Modified,Sig Brace Not sure about the upper ( had it layin around) Ferfranz muzzle device ACOG TA01 Offset BUIS 
Since this posting, I removed the buffer tube and added one that would accept the shockwave blade. Personally, I just like the look better. I also added my personal favorite pistol grip by UTG. All in all it makes a pretty nice short weapon that when broken down will easily fit into a bug out bag. It is loud so the Ferfranz device is a necessity. I'm not sure how much a suppressor would actually help one of these short barreled monsters. |

Almost finished... Just gotta get a 10.3in bbl, bcm mod 4 or raptor charging handle, buis, and an optic (probably a T2). Then it'll be time for some rustoleum camo lovin on everything except that sexy rail!
A lil further down the road I plan to add a Surefire Muzzle brake, and a Warden blast diffuser
