Wasn't planning on running a can on my 300 Blackout, what’s your opinion on using this round for whitetail deer?

This is my work in progress.  I started with a 9" AAC 1:8 .300BLK barrel and it has grown into what you now see here.  My Form 1 has been pending for two months now so hopefully in three more or so I'll have the stamp for the SBR.  This upper is getting a YHM 7.62 Ti Phantom suppressor (only one month into that Form 4 wait).

i don't understand this post.

exactly why would adco not touch a CMMG barrel again? would they not refinish, shorten, thread, ect... a CMMG barrel because the factory threads are not concentric?

fwiw, i used a 300BLK barrel from CMMG... suppressed. it was just fine. PIA difference from unsuppressed to suppressed was minimal.. a couple inches at 100 yrds was all. only reason i sold it was it was 16' and i bought a wilson combat 11.3" to go on one of my SBRs.

nice looking rig. I have heard that the baffle system in the pig brake causes some cycling problems in some configurations.

Thanks!
It cycled just fine, but then I only test fired 10-12 rounds. Hope stays this way and dosen't cause any problems down the line.

It'll be great when my Form 1 is approved, but I'm really anxious for my Form 4 for my suppressor.

I can't get mine to cycle Remington subsonics, I'm hoping the suppressor will fix that.

8" Noveske barrel, NSR, ARFCOM SBR lower, Rainier upper, FailZero bcg, loaded up with some Barnes black tipped goodness. Going to have to use my Osprey 9 until I buy an SDN6. I'll be testing out the Osprey on it this weekend. Waiting on some Remington subsonics to arrive. This rifle is very light and maneuverable, I love it!

I just noticed Noveseke is offering 1:7 twist 300 blk barrels now. Has it been determined to be more ideal than the 1:8 99% of us have for subs?

Mostly a parts gun, but the ones of interest are:  16" DoubleStar 300blk barrel, DS low pro gas block, and Samson 15" Evo rail

Believe it just increases the likelihood of consistent stability for the heaviest and longest of sub projectiles (240 grain subs out of 6" barrels for instance).  Faster twist makes it less likely someone exceeds the stability band and Fs up a can.

That's nice....

Have you weighed it?  Loaded?  Unloaded?  Suppressor on/off?

Just curious what the weight is on it.  I'm planning a very similar build.

Thanks AlphaOperator.

The gun isn't heavy at all.

I don't have exact figures but I'd estimate with the suppressor mounted in the 7-8lb range.

The can is 15oz and the QD brake is 4oz.

Last I heard and I believe the Aimpoint Micro and mount to be about 7oz together.

I will do a little measuring when I get home tonight.

Crappy phone picture. I had to take it at the gun shop where my silencer lives until I get that stamp back. Hoping by December.

Mine is an 8.2" Noveske NSR upper on a Spikes lower with Geiselle trigger, and SOPMOD stock. Has a T1 now, but my Vortex Razor 1-6 will be here tomorrow. Can is AAC 7.62sdn-6.

It is laying on a glass topped display case, with pistols in it, so hopefully you can make it out. ETA-just noticed the mag is not all the way in.

Heres another angle.
