DBAR, nice stick. Can you provide the specs on your setup? Thanx

Thanks,
The barrel is from Houston Armory, and the suppressor is a YHM Titanium 308 can. I wrapped those two pieces with the Spikes light weight BAR free float rail. I think that pretty much sums it up. I can't wait to go shoot it now that I got the can on there. It shot great with the Noveske KX3, but it's time to bring out the sub sonic stuff and see how this one performs. The only thing I might have done differently is to have the rail just a couple of more inches longer. DBAR |

Nice looking guns, I really like the setup in the case, been looking for something like that for myself lately. Thanks. |

AAC uppers and PSA Lowers. I've only been able to site in the rifle due to ammo shortage.

Personally, I like the VTAC rail better. I also want my rail to be a little closer to the can (9" AAC barrel with a 7" Centurion rail). I considered sending the barrel to be chopped down to 8.2" just to do that, but it is not worth the hassle and I'm not going to bother with an 8" KAC rail. The Troy quad rail is noticeably heavier, as well. I normally don't worry about extra weight, to an extent, but when you have a short 300 BLK and everything else has lightweight in mind, then why add unnecessary weight? I actually just sold my Aimpoint PRO to fund an Aimpoint H-1 just to shave a little weight and the fact the full-bodied Aimpoint was the focal point because of its size. Now, I just need to decide to go with an absolute or 1/3 cowitness mount from LaRue...I'm thinking absolute...

Get the 1/3.

The 65 looks good, but consider having a cantilevered scope mount as putting a ring on the tube and not the receiver will probably cause zero shift. The useful range of the Grendel would probably magnify zero shift out to where the 65 performs best.
Also, why no suppressor mount on the 300BLK? Run a Troy 7.6 Extreme for having the suppressor mount right at the end of the locking ring on the YHM. |

Thanks for the input. I left the pig on to help with the noise while the suppressor is on order. I have the same QD that is on the grendel to place it on the blackout to allow easy shift from one to another. As for the grendel scope, that was just put on mainly for looks. It came off of a cheap 22lr rifle. I want to get a better mount and looking into the hdmr reticle by bushnell elite.

Sounds like snapping a carrot, super quiet i'm very happy with the sdn-6. My cell phone video shows the bullet in flight exiting the can. |

What do you think about that law tactical? How well does it work? How hard was it to install, escpecially the plug, extender for the bolt carrier?

It installed fairly easy, the extension does not take much time and uses a collet tightened by a large flat head screw driver. Mine does not lock up tight and prohibits me from sweeping the charging handle with my off hand, it also makes breaking the upper away from the lower impossible without a screw driver in hand. The bolt extension will not work with a weighted 9mm bolt. |
