zentanker,
The short hand guard rail that you are running makes your barrel look too long. If you had a longer hand guard on your set up, it would look more in proportion. No one is saying you have to have a SBR to be cool, although it does help.... DBAR |

I would be a liar if I said I weren't a little envious of all the great builds you guys have. It's going to take me a few months to catch up, is all. ;) I'm not at all insulted. You guys' observations are completely valid and true. |

Since I am not at all interested in committing a felony, it will just have to remain obscenely long for the next 6 or 7 months. :( I am thoroughly enjoying this lower, I'm going to send out for stamp next week so by summer of next year I can be one of the cool kids too. I think for me the reason it looks so weird is the added length of the suppressor. But I was just joking around cause I still have three 16" uppers but since I have my lower SBR'd all my future uppers will be shorter. Well except any that I build or buy for hunting. |

I agree, it does. Since I only shoot subs, it would have been a little dishonest to post a picture of it without the can merely for aesthetic considerations. My rifle will be prettier someday, I promise it will. ;) |

Good point, definitely better to post it like you're gonna shoot it than any other way. Still a good looking rifle though. I remember seeing Seekins lower before they even had a website at a local dealer and still like them to this day.

I started out just buying an upper to play around with 300 BLK, once I decided I really liked it I went in search of a lower. I went to a show and when I fingered the Seekins I was sold. This thing is solid. (and to be honest, I think it looks cool) |

Sorry about the Facebook style photo, it was dark in the house and I couldn't get good lighting anywhere but in the bathroom. Im waiting to put optics on it before I take some good pics, that was just a pic I took to send to a friend and decided to throw it up on here too.

I thought this was a picture thread?
Let's see some Bad Ass 300 Blackout Rifles! Damn, I wish I would have taken a picture of the AK in 300 Blackout that was brought into our shop today, that would have gotten this thread back on topic. DBAR |

Mine's not finished, but here's what I got so far with roughly $890 invested in it. (not counting stupid payment to ATF) http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo162/csanford/DSC00736.jpg ETA: I only need a BCG, to figure out what I want for a trigger, a B.A.D. A.S.S. or C.A.S.S. (still thinking), muzzle device (thinking about AAC Brakeout, for future suppressor acquisition), and a DD LITE 7.0(shorter barrel) or 9.0(longer barrel). Extra add-ons will come later. Nice SBR there. What barrel lengths do you have there? |
|
Stamp collector.
Want to buy: -Suppressor height night sights for Springfield XD. -1 to 2 Glock 22rd .40cal mags -5.45x39 barrel for AR-15, and bolt if you have it |
Originally Posted By LMTRocks:

Both came from ar15hardware.com, JohnnyUSA on here. Both were on sale for $100 when I ordered them. Also their customer service chick is cool as heck, she remembered me ordering the 5.56 when I called to get the 300 even though it was like a month in between, and promptly called back when she missed my call one afternoon. |

16" Barrel with 15" Seekins Rail.
In the next year or so it will be a SBR with Suppressor. So I planned for the future. 9" barrel with 8" suppressor. It will stick out slightly more :D

(Spoke to my builder by email yesterday ... upper is two months out while waiting for the bbl to go for park, lower to be engraved, etc. But in the meantime, this is going on the left-side magwell: http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae120/zercool/PaleHorseEng.jpg So it's an 80% lower build? Pretty cool engraving either way. |
