It would be neat if you owned every new page with a new part until your build was done. Lol

Jesus brother, do you have to say the word neat so many times?

I thought we had this convo. The word neat is for old people.

That actually would be pretty neat tho.

I'm like 70 in my mind, bro. You're lucky I don't say neat-o, whippersnapper.

That video is neat as fuck.

And any other baby boomer terms that I've purposely forgot my parents saying to me in the past.

Hope you "fent" since they're back to $399 again.

Also, I just installed one last night. Took me about a half hour. The night before, I cut it down, so it was a little more compact than the full size. I modified it to be MK18 FSP rail.

no my tired ass fell asleep.

when I got around to looking at em again at work.....BAM! full price.

I'll keep an eye out for them to go on sale again and will pounce.

Tell me about this cut down one.... I really want to get one for a 12.5 upper and understand it won't work with one as it sits.

Probably hundreds. This is the second or third time they've done it too. I got mine 6 months ago at 150 from them. They get fat batches of the black ones and sell em' cheap at 150.

Thanks for hooking the link up, and for the kind words. Finslayer, it was pretty simple, for the most part. I pretty much did a lot of comparison between the different rails. The top rail, I cut just past the forward screw, at the 38th position. It is in a different position than an actual FSP MK18 rail, but it is plenty strong, even still. underneath, on the bottom rail, I cut it back just forward of the B35 position. I mostly used a dremel with cutting wheels and a grinder, then switched to files for finishing edges, taking down some of the uneven spots. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. The one DMB linked that I took photos of is the first, my wife's. I think with the second one, I'll take photos along the way and post a how to if anybody is interested in it.

Let me know if you have any questions, or need any photos if you end up getting one and want to do a similar project. That was one of the tough things was locating photos of the different variations of the rails from different angles. That said, hope you find one.

I'm glad they were black ones, I may have been less inclined to cut up a dark earth one. I was nervous enough as it was with this one.

For those with fsp's and 1x4 scopes, does the fsp interfere at all on 1x? If I recall correctly it doesn't but its been awhile since Ive had that setup. I think im going to turn mine into a recce again.

With a NF 1-4 in an LT-104 you could see it at 1x, but I didn't find it obtrusive.

2x-3x it was faint, and at 4x, it was almost unnoticeable.

I can second this with an ACOG. it wasn't bad, but was there. Didn't affect shooting at all when you're focusing on the reticle.

I don't really notice the FSB on 2x on my set up.  But I don't have a scope as low as 1x.  So....  I could see how that might be annoying if you can see it on 1x.

Without the suppressor and a brake it's amazingly fun.

I don't blame you. 14.5 + can is like the length of an A4, and CQBR + can is like the length of a 14.5.

I think 14.5 with flash hider dedicated unsuppressed is the clear answer here, and save the can/s for the CQBR/s

What's funny is we have the same setup upper-wise.

FSP, EXPS, Matech, dual switch, almost the same paint. Only difference is I run the 249F

ETA i cant believe im asking ECP this but do you have a 16" bbl on that thing? It looks longer than normal....

Yeah sadly it's a 16" barrel. I was sold it under the impression it was a 14.5" and the seller didn't refund. So I figured I would shoot it for now on a non-NFA lower. I built that upper for like $300 so I didn't feel like fixing the barrel right away.

Hell yea bro! How'd you like the full length on full auto?

Without the suppressor and a brake it's amazingly fun.

I prefer the CQBR suppressed.

Thats more coin than I want to spend, plus I want a compact scope.

There were at least three sub-$1000 NFs in the EE last time I checked.

This! I plan on doing this with my Block II build and throwing the EXPS and G33 on the FSP build when that gets done.....but I'll probably get a cheap 1-4x or 1-6x scope. I'm running out of cash

If you're not gonna get a can I'd get the 249F (4 prong)

Or just get the NT4 flash hider.  It would be more correct.

If you already have the Surefire, just use it.  It's been considered good enough for a long time.  Just shoot it more than you take pictures of it.

This x 1000. It's the sexiest FH in existence, IMO.
