Receivers, rail, optic, sights and light are all factory anodized (receivers were a limited Spikes offering). The plastics were dyed RIT, and stock, buffer, and castle nut were painted Alumahyde dark earth

Rifle is looking awesome Eternal and thanks again for the RIT dye info. I love the dark earth brown color I've got now. Once my rail comes back from being cerakoted i'll post a pic of my 'brown rifle."

I actually used rit dye, so the colors won't fade chip or scratch. I did a writeup on the dying process in the refinishing forum if you're interested.

Depends on your intended use. I use this rifle for everything, so I like for it to be able to do as much as possible. My main reason for buying the magnifier was hunting. I wanted magnification, but didn't want to loose the advantages of the Aimpoint. If you have any astigmatism that causes the dot to be less than perfectly round, the magnifier will make the problem much, much worse. The 4MOA T-1 looked like absolute trash behind the magnifier because of this, but with the 2MOA M4s that I used to have and the 2MOA T-1 that I have now, it works just fine.

Long story short, try it before you buy it, and the Larue flip-to-side mount is worth every penny.

Yes i agree with you, I only have 1 AR at the moment so i also pretty much need it to do everything. I think the Magnifier will be my next purchase seeing how my rifle has all the bells and whistles that i want at the moment. Does the Larue mount lock in the side position or does it only lock up when its in line with the red dot?

It locks solidly in both positions.

My M4-CQBR project. Since the pic was taken, traded the light for a Surefire Scout M600C and added a Magpul RVG foregrip. It's currently sitting on my brother's SBR lower as I'm still in the sandbox Once I get home and get it on my own lower, it will have an A2 or MIAD grip and a MATECH BUIS.
