replacing that VFG with the MOE MVG would cut down on some weight and you wont need that rail section. but it is a nice gun

Am I missing something, or do you really have a rear BUIS without a front one?

You're missing something -

The URX has a built in flip-up front sight integral with the rail that has rail slots machined into the top.

There's a front BUIS there.

I wasn't familiar with the URX rail system, thus my question. Nice concept for the folding front site!

I know the bottom of the two Magpul grips looked mismatched. The OD grip with black is a MOE and that's what it came with. The black grip with OD is also a MOE but I had and extra OD MIAD insert from one of my AR10 builds that holds a spare bolt. lol!

This is my carbine I just completed. With the exception of three parts(trigger guard, BCM charging handle and A2X flash hider), it's all Colt. Just finished pinning and welding the FH this morning. 6920 lower, A2 Colt upper with M4 cuts. Colt 14.5 M4 barrel. Test fire and sight in tomorrow. Yum Yum.

Probably an Oberland lower.

The optic is an ELCAN SpecterDR Dual Role 1-4x.

NC Star. 3x9....cheap optic....but, it holds zero, on/off ,adjusts correctly, and I'm just shooting tin cans and varmints..
The flip top lens cap lasted about a day or so....the rest is good for what I'm doing
