Hey y'all I've been lurking for a while now and have done a lot of research through this site before I purchased my first AR. I just picked up my new Daniel Defense M4V5 today and I'll be shooting it this weekend. For a first AR I believe I got one hell of a deal. $1225 from a local FFA dealer. Sorry for the cell phone pictures but its the best I can do for now.

OK, here's one of my entries:
My wife shot my customized 20" AR15 this past Memorial Day. She liked it so much, I didn't get it back. 
Then she customized it. Here it is, wearing MY TA31F (but HER pink furniture!): 
But, she wanted a VFG, and didn't prefer the TA31F. So, we got her a TA01 (she likes crosshairs), put the VFG on, and moved the bipod back: 
I sighted it in for her. Even the female RSO couldn't resist shooting the pink gun: 
Oh, did I mention that it has the PSA "Don't Tread on Me" Lower???
So, now the wife unit is happy: 
She has dreams of being a SDM: 
She wants to kill zombies, like in The Walking Dead. I told her zombie killers don't smile when firing their weapons. She didn't listen: 
She composed herself, and put on her game face... and shows great trigger discipline:

New upper... still need to have it properly assembled (I don't have a vice or torque wrench) but I wanted to see how it would feel... It is CRAZY STOOPID light!

Just finished breaking in the barrel on this build, really liking the dpms upper. Read a ton of reviews on how great spikes lowers are but I have to say I'm not extremely impressed with the finish, the fit is great, and functionality is spot on (which is what matters I suppose), but it seems like the slightest bump or ding scrapes the finish easily. The finish on the upper was excellent. Have shot a lot on friends AR's and after having an AK for some time, I had an itch to build an AR. 1st build let me know what you think.
