This is pewter and metallic blue. I've already disassembled to change the blue, it didn't turn out like I thought it would, the blue is hideous. LOL. Other than the Mystic Black BCG it's a bit of a budget build. Anderson lower, no-name upper, hammer forged Anderson barrel, magpul stock, Omega 12" rail, UTG optic, UTG flip ups, Anderson lower parts kit, etc...

at any rate, it will look much better when I change it, but wanted to post this combo.

It's actually camoed underneath the burlap but it didn't look as good as I wanted. I used od green plasti dip as the base and the stuff works really well actually so anyone wanting a non permanent coating on a scope should give it a try.

Edit: pic thread

Try using Imgur, Flickr, Photobucket, Tinypic, etc to host your pics. Google Drive doesn't work well for direct linking. And use the image button instead of the URL button when you post.

Very observant. Yes it is mounted backwards. I tried it folding back but it rested on the rail ever so slightly. So I figured I would mount it facing forward and see if it made any difference. Other than aesthetics, it didn't because the point of impact was the same. I may leave it like that. Do you have a suggestion?

By the way, I took it out yesterday to run it through its paces. Here, I'm shooting at the target by the pond ~ 200M. There's a steel plate off to the left, which was our 100m target.

</a>" />

This was my favorite. Can you see the target? 10" steel circle.

</a>" />

Here's a zoom. It was about 400m away.

</a>" />

It was odd to us too. We asked the landowner, and co-shooter who located the targets, and he was ok with the placement of that target. He said there wasn't anything in that shed anyway, so he didn't care if a stray hit it. We don't believe any rounds hit though. He was more worried about us shooting any of the longhorns, but they stayed way off to the west. The herd did come and visit once (I guess they were curious) before the owner shooed they away, and it was the closest I've ever been to a longhorn. Those animals are HUGE.

BTW, there were two more targets beyond the shed at 600-something and 750+ yards. None of us tried though.

Wow. That's sick. Your lower, aside from being an awesome billet (that I want), it looks just slightly different. Is it coated? Love that rail, and the muzzle break...or is it a supressor? Looks too short to be a supressor, but it has that fat look to it. Nicely done. I can't believe how much I've learned here in such a short time.

Bushmaster LE/Security Surplus.

Cleaned her up, swapped out the factory bushmaster skinny handguards for a set of skinny Colt handguards that I already had painted. I'm going to paint the rifle eventually so I figured I'll keep an unmolested set around. I also ground off the finger rest on the pistol grip.
