Then you may want to stay away from attaching slings to Daniel Defense rails like the Lite, Omega, Omega X, RIS2, and others that use set screws to hold the forearm onto the barrel nut.

If the screws are properly torqued, hundreds of pounds of  rotational force is required to move the item they are securing.

One small and one giant set screw hold it on there. when I was assembling it and it was still in the vise block I grabbed the sight and tried rotating it and with every bit of my strength it wouldn't budge.

Went walking a couple days ago with the SHTF LW 14.5" carbine. An 09 Bushy (Windham ME mfg). Always been a great shooting AR with about 3k thru it, with zero malfunctions to date. About half that was while basically stock. Now everything's been swapped out except the receivers and buffer assembly. Crazy I know.. Typical stuff.. NIB BCG, Mod 4 CH, CMC 3.5 trigger, 14.5" LW J&T barrel, Griffin Flash Comp, Guntec modular drop-in HG with Troy/Magpul rail covers/hand stop, MOE+ grip, BAD bolt release(not sure I like it tho), etc etc. About 7.5lbs as-is with the Sparc, sling,  and a TLR-1s light mounted(using the bayonet lug rail mount). I live deep in the NC mtns near the AT trail, so the Multicam is functional for me.

Built the upper all out of spare parts, slapped it on my existing lower that has my nice SSA-E trigger for testing. Didin't do too bad offhand at 50 yards. This was built with a barrel that I thought had gone bad, but still seems to do alright. Didn't bother trying to sight it in, so that's why most shots are high. Think I'll put a budget PA red dot on it or something.
