Anyone else rocking a CTR on there SBR? I keep thinking I might change it for say an ACS, perhaps a UBR, maybe and STR...but then I always go back to loving the CTR.

I can't seem to decide between the CTR and IMOD.  Every week, my favorite SBR seems to be sporting one or the other.

Hello all,
I am new to the forum and pretty new to firearms as well. A good friend of mine (a Marine) has been instructing me on shooting and we built my first AR together. This is how she stands at the moment though I am throwing a Geissele MK3 SMR 13" in a few weeks. It's a BCM Barrel 1-7 twist, BCM BCG, and a BCM Gunfighter charging handle. I also have a Knights Armament 7" rail on there at the moment. I'm going to leave the iron sights on till I am more proficient. I'm still learning and will be forever it seems so let me know what you all think! Thanks!

Welcome to the site! I'd say that you're off to a great start. Beware of BRD (Black Rifle Disease) because they tend to multiply.

Yeah, I'd be the one that infected him. In fact, that upper is the one on the laft there, all by its lonesome, so I sent her to a good home!

Read a lot more then I post... but my AR family has grown AGAIN... This one I built up the Rainier Arms zombie lower and bought a complete Rainier upper... Love Rainier Arms and that upper had everything I wanted on it. Just finished it yesterday and hoping to go shoot it tomorrow!

This one I finished a bout 9 months ago...

This was my first AR got the upper from a buddy and built the lower... it's a tack driver!

...and the "family"...

Sorry for the misplaced post.  But I've got to spread this around a little.  It was just perfect!

I was very close to the person who put that sticker on there.  I had to take a picture after it was placed there.  Best moment at 2014 Shot Show by far.

Here is a link as well.  Apparently others noticed this patriotic deed.

Technically can be spelled either way. Greek is a little difficult to translate directly to English. (Greek speaker)

I get a lot of requests to talk about this charging handle.  It is a prototype from SLR Rifleworks.  I didn't have a lot of time with it. But I liked it a lot.  No latches, no problems.

Just added the IWC handguards to both, may or may not add an optic to the 18". I may just try and master irons with it. The 18" is the new one. Weights in at 7lb 2oz. Little one in at 6lbs 11oz.
