Thanks guys.  I should have mentioned that the barrel was cerakoted in burnt bronze; everything else is anodized.

Cheers

Help me out here.  Is the handguard also burnt bronze?  It looks different than the receiver.

Embarrassingly, I rather ignorant on stuff from GA.  Can you point me in the right direction?  Thanks.

BTW, I hope to have my FDE picture placed in this thread soon.

Nice safe. I wish mine were nice. The good news is in mine there is 1 shotgun, 2 handguns and ~6 ARs...so I'm not doing too bad.

Lol told ya
The all black rifle in the middle is my MK12 Mod0. I also have a bolt gun with a Surgeon action and Krieger barrel being built in an AI AX chassis in FDE, that has a NF BEAST pre ordered just waiting to ship. As soon as I can get my grubby little paws on a KAC URX4 and a Gieselle keymod MK4 SMR ill have 2 more rifles done. I also have MRP CQB en route which will promptly be sent off for patriot brown cerakote and all 3 said uppers will sit on Noveske Gen 2 lowers.

Wow!

Pic thread:

In the process of changing from ugly OD to FDE. The stock is in the mail and a 12in rail will be coming soon.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I especially like your taste in stocks.

Here's my submission. I recently sold the upper and am working on a shorty.

Ya , it's a mega slick side, it's thick, and heavy!!
I never put it on a scale but it's got to be twice as heavy as
A forged, at least

The rail on the upper is higher than the rail on my trx, and the rear is so tight at the charging handle channel that i have to hold the cam pin in the middle and tap the bcg through the opening.

What model Burris scope is that? Would you recommend?

Thanks. That's good to know but bad to hear. Mine charges really smoothly but I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I plan on getting a troy free float so I guess I'll find out if the rail is the correct height. Everything seems really tight (in a good way). I know they match their uppers and lowers and there's pretty much no gap between them.

The scope is a Burris MTAC. I haven't shot it but I like it so far and it gets really good reviews.

Mine functions great, though I haven't tried to zero the irons yet. I just assembled this particular upper last week.

Never seen a castle nut like that, is that style new or am I just out of the loop? What does it offer over the regular style?

that's not . . .

do you know where your rear take down detent spring is?

looks like he just sat it there to mock it up for a pic.

Hopefully he'll figure out the way it goes when it's time to install.

PSA ships their tubes assembled backwards like that.

I think that's just a thread protector. The normal castle nut and plate are against the stock.

I have the rear taking spring and take down pin. I need to get the take down detent for it.

I did just set it up for mop up. I know how to install it  i just need to get a take down detent.

Ah. I see the castle nut now, my eyes were playing tricks on me.

I was trying to be polite but thinking to myself, what the fuck is the advantage of a bigger finger tight castle nut? I'm a dumbass.

Some good looking rifles on this thread!  Here is my submission.  Finally got it to where I want it for now.  Had to have the pistol FDE as well.

Enjoy.
