My first attempt at building a complete upper...all on my old RR lower that will go back on my bull barrel upper w/ A2 stock as soon as I get a new lower. It was great fun!

Been stalking this thread for awhile now what convinced me on most of my parts and the fde. I dont know how to not reply to messages to post here so sorry but here is my AR it aint the best but its done and works great.

Here's an updated pic of the rifle I posted a few pages back.
Should I cut the scope caps off the IO cover? They seem to just get in the way, and I don't anticipate ever needing them. Also, what else could I do to make it more FDE without straight up cerakoting the whole thing? Cerakote just the rail? 
Scope caps I want to chop off. Fo or no fo?

It didn't bother me spray painting my AK, but doing so to a $3k rifle is a little tougher. I'm not quite there yet. Brake cleaner will take it right off if you don't like it. An acetone bath will work even better and is easier, less messy and cheaper. It will slide right off and whatever is left will wash right off under the faucet. |
