dam !! they are still only on 12/19?? at this rate we will all have laser guns or something by the time our pmags show up. on the bright side we can sell them as relics.

Nobody has a problem waiting for something that is in high demand - the problem is waiting longer than somebody else who ordered exactly the same item and at exactly the same time. |

No, they should have just cancelled your order and sent your mags to someone who will appreciate them. Magpul does not make what you want anymore, would you have rather had nothing? Or would you rather be one of those unreasonable, inconsiderate A-Holes that I had to deal with at Wal-Mart who just try to get something for free even though it was not our fault... They could have just cancelled your order and you would have nothing, do you really think they cheated you by at least sending you what they were able to get?? Come on, really?? I also ordered when Gen2's were "in-stock", but was not lucky enough to get them. I am happy that Brownell's did not just cancel my order. I also knew that if they ran out of the Gen2's as described, I would be getting MOE's since Magpul no longer made the ones with DC's. Do you really not see your argument as unreasonable? I also ordered some of the ones from DSG... Still have not gotten them.... |

Brownells is lieing about ship dates. They charged my card and showed my mags shipped on 2/4/13. I called on 2/11/13 and was told that the mags had merely been allocated, not shipped. I still have not recieved the mags.

Question: I backordered something but might not have had my current address in the system. It's only been a month or so thus far and I updated my account info to the correct address--will it ship to the correct place by the time they get to shipping it? It was for a Ruger 22/45 magazine, nothing really in all that high of demand.

I think their IT staff is freaking out, as they've been performing updates to their production software without testing it. Although they claimed to have fixed the issues, I can tell you from experience, working on a production system, instead of a development version, then fully testing before placing into use, just creates more problems. If you want to be absolutely certain of your order .... call them. They are nice people, and will try to find out what happened. FYI they have 2 different systems, a back office system that only they use, and the web system we all see. When I called them they claimed the 2 systems were "out of sync" with each other, and this may be your issue. |

a woman from brownells called today, seems they hired someone to handle some of the issues some of us are having. she explained that what I have been told from other reps was not correct and whaen you are put on notify your order is set aside for you for a while for you to contact them. there was a cut off point on back orders and after a certain date back orders were changed to notify but again not much communication with the customer.
they are still training people on the software issues and she is looking into the orders that were not handled correctly according to backorder dates and notify list. we will see if anything good comes from what they are trying to accomplish, keep your fingers crossed. she did mention they should get a lot more of their aluminum mags in soon so she kept my backorder for the tactical mags active and was trying to keep my magpul orders on back order as well. back orders will get shipped before any on the notify list. |

So if I am understanding this correctly, for those who placed orders after a certain date, they are put on a "notify" status rather than a backorder status? Or is it that the software system is doing this automatically for certain order dates / items? Either way, this info is not being, or is being poorly communicated to the customers? |

I just called and checked on a backorder for item no.100-003-119 from 12/26/12. The lady stated they were still on backorder and would stay on backorder until they arrived. And the order would not be purged. order no. 08286xxx

The ammo shortage is killing me - I could care less about waiting for magazines - .223/5.56 is virtually wiped out across the country - unless you want to pay $1 per round...

I placed my order back at the Beginning of January for some of their USGI Brownell brand aluminum 30rnd mags. Keep getting emails from them saying they havne't forgot about me....but I still haven't seen any mags yet.
How long am I going to have to wait? |

If its the mags with the green followers, people have been receiving them what seems like every week. It appears that they are still working on December orders so you will have to just sit tight and wait. I would suggest looking at your order number and compare it to those that are posted here for an idea of how many orders are in front of you. If its the tactical mags with magpul followers, nobody has been getting them regularly (or if they are, they aren't posting here about it). I imagine there will be a large initial shipment when they finally start moving these mags, but that is only my guess. |
