Tell me about this wood stove

My dad bought a new house and it has a wood stove in one of the rooms. I don't know anything about it, but its missing a couple pieces. I want to surprise my dad and find the missing parts for him as a Christmas present.

I forgot to get pictures of it while I was home, but its identical to this one:

The brand is Double Star. I'd also like to know more about it. Is it an antique? Were they US made?

Some of those are worth good money. They throw alot of heat.
