I thought they made a good jab at the Olympic Games, but probably with Russian investors and a Russian GP this year it was in their best interest to delete. Too bad. |

It's a horribly bad move beyond the Russian money. Regardless of what the principals of each current and potential sponsor privately believe, it is prudent to remain benign in a debate that could cost you business in many cultures across the globe. Why would anyone want to give money and attach their name to an organization who has shown a continued inability to temper their public relations (this has been brewing for a few months) to content that is congruent with a multitude of international corporate standards. When you are begging for money, it's best to look good, smile and shut up. |

Mercedes is being touted as the early 2014 favourite, but Ferrari is reportedly also ahead of the game as F1's new V6 era dawns. The German-language Speed Week reports that, when Ferrari-powered cars decelerated at the recent Jerez test, they sounded "very different" to their Mercedes and Renault-equipped counterparts.
Rumours in Italy say engine designer Luca Marmorini has devised an unique system that stops the flow of fuel when the driver is not accelerating, improving not only fuel consumption but also the effect of engine-braking. Also attracting attention at Jerez were Ferrari's airboxes and sidepods, amid suggestions the Italian marque is ahead of the game in the challenging area of cooling the all-new engine, turbo and energy-recovery systems. http://gpupdate1.ed5.nl/news/237241.jpg If for ONCE they could be on top of the game, that would be real nice |

So I've seen Senna, watched a bunch of stuff on him, loved his driving. What is your opinion of the man? In short, a phenomenon. Absolutely dedicated but was also a real fun guy, (Berger and him were constantly playing outrageous jokes on each other). He was the type of driver that, no matter what, you always knew that he was giving every thing he had, often beyond the point of exhaustion. The competition right now is supposedly among the midlevel teams for what sponsorship is still available. Williams, Lotus and Sauber all need $$$.
According to one of the F1 rags, the times at the next test are going to be distorted by people running low fuel and high boost, looking to set times to impress sponsors. |

Quoted: A look at McLaren's rear suspension with former Ferrari designed. http://youtu.be/flZr4fxPyPk Part 2 http://youtu.be/5U0fub3_DSU View Quote Did i hear that right? In part 2 he was talking about using the exhaust flow to accelerate the air under the rear wing. So now instead of a blown diffuser the cars are going to have blown rear wings? Plus McLaren is going to use the rear suspension elements as a way to get even more accelerate into the airflow under the wing? So they get back everything that was taken away and in the process add more cost since everyone now has to follow suit to keep up. HEAR HEAR! 100% this. I third that opinion, F-1 should have two competition rules. #1 Minimum car weight #2 Max engine displacment. If teams opt for a turbine powered car, then max displacment becomes max inlet area at the first stage compressor blades. HAVE AT IT BOYS!!!!!! |
