NBC's coverage for this weekend: Looks like we get some GP2 this weekend http://motorsportstalk.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/f1monaconbc14.jpg?w=659&h=254 That's actually impressive for NBC, I hope we start seeing this for every race down the line! This is what I was going to post. Practice is on THURS(!), because fridays are "quiet" days in town. I was all when I saw the schedule at first. Thought it was a hell of a typo. Everyone knows Mononco Practice is on Thursday, has been forever Can't shut down the public roads for more than two consecutive days. |

NBCSN is doing some Senna specials tonight.
Times are Eastern 1900 - Senna 2000 - Senna - This is the movie about him. I've seen it it a couple of times. Pretty much covers his whole life. Must see. Tomorrow there is an F1 documentary at 2000 |

Monaco is always about being first into Sainte Devote QFT By the way--for Sennas 20th ---I hope it rains on Sunday! I have that hope every year, it becomes a much more interesting race in the rain. Hell, if I'm having a bad day, I'll fire up F1 2012 and do a rain race in Monaco, even for a video game, it requires an insane amount of concentration and I forget everything else. Looks like Ferrari's high downforce package is pretty good, lets hope that LHs and NRs gearboxes grenade in qualy. |

Massa and Ericsson causing yellow and messing up any chance of a Sauber in Q2.

Clever play by Rosberg to caution that sector for Hamilton's final run.

Lewis not very happy in the press conference. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Crocodile tears coming right up! Race officials have launched an investigation into the incident where Nico Rosberg went off track, bringing out the yellow flags which meant Lewis Hamilton could not improve. I wonder if Hamilton is going to snitch his own teammate out to the stewards, like he did in Hungary in 2007? |

Hamilton crying this one up.
BBC Link BBC Radio 5 live pit lane reporter Jennie Gow asks Lewis Hamilton: "Are you even more like Senna and Prost now? Hamilton replies: "Essentially."
Will you have to sit down and sort it out? Hamilton says: "I don't know if Senna and Prost sat down and talked it out. I quite like the way Senna dealt with it, so I'm going to take a page out of his book." View Quote When asked for a response to Rosberg's apology, Hamilton shrugs his shoulders and says: "I don't have an answer to it." View Quote Mercedes' Nico Rosberg, who can't stop smiling, adds: "Of course I'm sorry for Lewis. I didn't know exactly where he was but once I was reversing I did see he was coming up. Of course that's not great, but that's the way it is." View Quote Hamilton's whining when things don't go his way has always been unseemly. Contrast it to Nico, who didn't throw a fit when Hamilton pushed him off in Bahrain but remained a professional. Happily, Mercedes is backing Nico: Mercedes motorsport director Toto Wolff said: "I don't think anybody does that deliberately in modern Formula 1. He [Rosberg] missed his braking, which was in order to beat his team mate, and he took the exit.
"That's it. There is nothing to add. That moment is very intense when you lose out in qualifying to your team mate, but give it half an hour and he will have calmed down." View Quote |

Just when I am trying to give Lewis a chance, and starting to like him.. he opens his whiny, cunt mouth and starts wagging his fucking tongue again.

Lewis needs to keep his piehole shut, fucking baby. I hope Nico destroys him tomorrow.

I have to disagree about it being on purpose. That was my first thought when I saw it, but the replays show the car dancing under braking before the lockup, which makes it look like it was real.
It looks like Nico tried to stay in it out just an nth longer, then brake extra hard for the corner. But there was some bumpiness to the pavement and that caused the right front to get light and it locked up, leaving the escape road was his only choice. It also looked like he could have been another foot or so to the left and it might have been a better line to try that move. Either that or he's a lot better driver than I've ever given him credit for to be able to pull it off so it looked like it was completely unintentional. |

I really think it was done on purpose, but very well done. http://giant.gfycat.com/SnappyEquatorialBabirusa.gif View Quote Got to say....after watching that in-car, his steering inputs prior to locking up (after dodging the hump) are sketchy as hell. Super early (wtf) turn in. Which allows for a correction, unloading the right front (allowing it to lock).....all with enough room to safely use the runoff. |

If the storyline can't be "who's challenging for first" then the go-to storyline becomes lead team in-fighting. It's really been stepped up with Hamilton saying earlier this week how he was hungrier than Rosberg due to his background, and now this. I have to say that IF it was intentional, it shows Rosberg is pretty hungry. |

Hamilton would be a much easier for me to like and think he's a good driver if he'd stop being the whiny bitch when things don't go his way. He has yet to really impress me. If it wasn't for the total dominance and superiority of the Merc this year he'd be still hang around in 4th or 5th place which is where he's been consistently since Sutil pulled over and let him pass in Brazil in 2008. The whole temper tantrum after qualifying reflects the level of maturity he brings to the table. It's just tiresome.
The cars this year are enough of a handful without playing games with trying to game the system. The fact that Rosberg just missed snapping off the right front in his dive down the escape road makes the idea that he did it deliberately just nonsense. Besides he's never shown a tendency to be that kind of driver. Hamilton has all but bumped him into the weeds in the last few races and the only comment he's made had been to say that he does not like finishing second. No pouting, no little bitch attitude, just simply that's racing and there in another race coming up and I'll try to do better. Nice to see the Ferrari team getting it together a bit more. Too bad the car just isn't there yet. |
