If your business hinges on a forum post you don't like, you already have problems.
They have to prove damages; which may not be that hard if there was a rash of cancellations after the post.

Thanks to this thread, maleante, I will never buy anything from SEI.
Watch out for your cornhole, bud. |
At least they don't hire people that will kill you over an inch of steel

Damn, there aren't enough lawyers to sue all the people Glock could sue if this stands.
Am I the only one who feels for SEI? Everyone knows how important word of mouth recommendations are in this business, and the dude literally did lie according to the excerpts in the PDF attached. I'm certain there's more to the story and hell, maybe SEI does deserve to go, but that PDF isn't the reason. Especially since they gave him numerous attempts to retract his false statements.
I heard from a reliable source that SEI are a bunch of lame ass cry babies who file lawsuits because they got butt-hurt on the internet. Reports of them crying, trembling, sucking their thumbs, stuff like that. At this point I believe you have every right to never buy their shit again... whatever it is they sell. Feel free to use this info to your every advantage.

I think I recently signed up to their mailing list for a giveaway. I'll be sure to cancel and let them know why. Fuck this bullshit.
I have no problems with this at all......someone talked a bunch of trash online......thinking there would be no accountability for their words, then Boom.....they got served......good.....
Who was the member here sued by a suppressor company. WTF happened there?
Fuck them. Suing someone for having an opinion (even if its wrong) is beyond bullshit.
What a bunch of fucking cry babies.
I'll never buy anything from SEI. I'm sure they make a fine product, but all this shows me is if I get something that isn't up to par, I can't speak out about it or they will sic their law dogs on me. Fuck them. Oh, and FBHO. |
Before I bought my first AR (and my only), I saw an article in American Rifleman outlining an m14 built with one of their receivers. I was seriously considering building one that included their parts. It was either that, an M1A, or my RRA.
Fuck those twats, I will never consider them ever again. |
I was never in danger of purchasing their products, as I don't have an M1A and I don't want a can that I've read many bad things about.
I suppose this just solidifies it. |
Streisand Effect.
I don't think they will like the result, even if they win. FUCK SEI! |

Its what the Plaintiff wants his claim to be, its rare that you find one that doesn't grossly misrepresent or ignore critical facts. |

Welcome to the internet. People can write stuff about you. Bring a helmet.
I help my customers combat and control negative internet reviews about them on a regular basis. If you post a clear and factual response to your negative reviews, earn enough positive reviews to drown out the negative, and put out a product that speaks for itself, then you have little to fear. SEI apparently has Keebler Elves in a tree lovingly churning out receivers one block of steel at a time, so they aren't getting enough of their product out there to earn positive reviews the right way... they may feel that the lawsuit is their only option. Regardless of the merits of the comments, these guys just earned a reputation for suing people who dare to criticize them. Not that I'm in the market for an M14 or a can right now, but that just earned them a spot in the same "do not buy" file as AAC. |

Just to make a point, here is a post from you... talking trash about the Plant City Gun Show. How would you feel if you got served for your inflammatory remarks? Quoted:
Typical Suncoast show, but with much narrower isles Last one I went to I took an AUG-A1 I was looking to sell......had no less than 10 meth-heads ask "how much for the AK".....not worth the gas....... Ridiculous, isn't it? So is filing a lawsuit against someone because they complained on the internet. |

May fuck be upon them.

We have legal words for that. Chris |

The lawsuit is far more destructive to their reputation than a post by someone on the Internet.

Everything I can recall having seen posted by sei and their surrogates has made them look like giant tools to me. This is just confirmation as far as I am concerned.

What that guy posted wasn't an opinion - he presented it as fact. If he'd said "I bet the reason they're behind is heat-treating issues", there wouldn't be a cause of action. |

With exception to the disparaging remarks about the Nazis and the Commies, I retract anything I said anywhere anytime.
