I like it in this form a lot. A Ranger with a 3" body lift and 33" offset tires is perfect. This is what I'd like to do to mine but I don't see the point since mine isn't 4x4. |

Stock hood? Yup - stock hood. It's called the "Sport" hood, and is an option; $750 IIRC on a new truck (Express or Sport only), or ~$1,000 (+paint) over the counter to add to any truck. It's a '12 Ram crew cab, Sport, 4x4, Hemi. The only things not stock in that pic are the step bars, wheels (came from a 2013 Sport), and the headlights have been disassembled and the bezels painted black, and retrofitted with HID projectors, and the tonneu cover. I'm very happy with it! It looked like this, stock (day after I bought it): |

Yes, aware, but you can pull apart any housing and "black" them. There's a thread on gmfullsize.com and duramaxforum.com showing how to do this on your GM's. That was a poor choice of pictures ,but I am at work, and my time with Google Image Search is limited |

Well - all I can say is that the ones on *my* truck are the OEM lights, with the bezels painted black and retrofitted with projectors. Why am I so sure? 'cause I did the work! You can also buy aftermarket lights with black housings as well. |

Not quite as heavy, but this crossed the scales at 22,000. The old truck bed is full of old hydraulic cylinders. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b112/Jdaytime/9433008b.jpg That was while my wheels were plasti-dipped and truck was badly in need of a bath. Why did you end up taking off the lift and front bumper? |

Why did you end up taking off the lift and front bumper? It wasn't lifted, I just had the torsion bars turned up a little. I was tired of the rough ride, so I cranked it back down and added 2" drop shackles to level the back. It's slowly developing into a race truck, so I ditched the front bumper. Of course, I almost hit a deer at 80mph the week I took it off. I plan on buying a new Powerstroke when I graduate and making it my daily with 35s, bumpers, etc. |
