2011 Ford Ranger XLT, 4x4, 4.0L, auto. Running Fuel Revolver wheels with 31" BFG mud terrains, 5% tint all around, spray-in liner, etc. It's not a Jeep by far, but she climbs like a goat and is small enough to fit on most ATV trails.

What Kc slim lights did you go with?

They're actually not slim lights, just standard KC's, but they are 130w. Not bad, but I've been thinking of converting them to HID.

Perfection. You could put my little Ranger (see above) in the bed and have a spare truck instead of a spare tire...

My bad, I have the slim lights and I am happy with them. If I do change anything I will go to an LED bar.

ETA:  Are they Fuel Mavericks?  And the truck is sick by the way.  6.4s are one thing I try to stay away from on the highway lol

What did that workover by MPD cost if you don't mind me asking. I'm considering getting rid of my truck for something similar to yours.

Did a little research and spoke to various sources and found out the following:

Parts:

Turbo Kit: 5k
Nozzles:600
Intercooler: 1800
Radiator: 1400
IC Piping 1200
Tuning: 800
Exhaust Manifolds: 700

You'll need to either install it or pay to have it installed. Probably in the neighborhood of 2k for installation. The built trans ran me 4k stem to stern. It's completely race ready and will hold 1000hp.

Thanks man!

Absurd!!! $5,000 for a turbo kit!!

I am so glad my CTD is easy to work on with the I-6 motor:

-BD Super BD Special Turbo: $1,300
-II 100HP Nozzles: $600
-Smarty SR POD Tuning: $600
-ATS Pulse Flow Silver Ceramic Coated Exhaust Manifold: $300

The stock Cummins intercooler is good for well over 700hp

I am also running:
5" MBPR Exhaust (no cat, no muffler)
85% CP3 from II
6.7L Cummins injector tubes
Glacier Diesel ported banjo bolts
Glacier Diesel Grid Heater Delete
Glacier Diesel Air Boss Plenum Plate
Glacier Diesel Powder Flo Intake Manifold
Glacier Diesel Fuel Cannister Delete
Icebox Cold Air Intake
Air Dog 150 Fuel System
T&C Diesel Porter Fuel Rail
T&C Diesel Modified Rail Pressure Valve

You're telling me a turbo kit for 5k is absurd when you're spending 6k on a fully built 48RE? Pot meet kettle. Please also keep in mind that I bought the truck built and all I did was build the trans...

I have a fully built 5R and it ran me 4k and my truck doesn't need studding because the 6.4 can handle 800hp before I have to even consider studding the truck.

I actually just had my TC magically disassemble itself so the trans is getting another rebuild as we speak -- it's being rebuilt under warranty.

Cool story, brah

Don't really care, my truck will never be on the rollers

I would be happy with 600 rwhp, especially knowing that that I don't have to worry about the EGR cooler (6.4L Ford), DPF/Catalytic converters (6.4L Ford), clogged oil cooler (6.4L Ford), leaking radiators (6.4L Ford), holes in turbo feed pipes (6.4L Ford)..........just to name a few

I wonder why ford only used that engine 2.5 years in their $50,000+ trucks, haha!
