Did IDPA this weekend.
7 people in my group. 1 G19 1 P30 and 5 1911s Only one person was shooting .45. Thats 4. 4 9mm 1911s. Are they actually that popular? Most of the time I see big boy 1911s or Glocks. |

Ammo prices has pushed 45 to 9 for cheaper ammo/reloading components.

In IDPA, a 9mm 1911 is a very good choice for ESP. I have shot one for years.
You can make many improvements, shoot cheaper ammo, and have almost no recoil. This is why the CZ SP01 is also a very popular choice in SSP/ESP. |

Pretty popular around here as well. I've seen a good bit of them at the IDPA matches here. Honestly I see very few .45s around here anymore.
