Wow I don't know how I missed this. I was just about to email you to ask if you were planning on doing anything in the Rochester area! ...now to see if I can actually make it.

Does anyone have an actual ADDRESS for the Gander Mountain Lodge in Henrietta NY?  I need to know how far away I am so I'll know if attending is even possible for me. I've tried Google but have been unsuccessful so far. Even the flyer doesn't have a physical address listed. Thanks in advance to any and all assistance.

Chris and everyone,

I was unable to attend the original date but I just received the email of the date change, and signed up for the morning half of the program.

It will be good to meet some fellow ARFCOMers and get some learning.

What a great intro class. I attended the 2nd class offering (1pm - 4pm) and thought it was a great introduction and foundation for self defense. Hopefully we'll see more class offerings like this in the Rochester area. Anyone who didn't attend missed out on a great opportunity. Only thing I didn't like is that the 3hrs seemed like 1 hr. I'm looking forward to future MDTS course offerings.

I attended the morning session, and had a great time. It was good to meet Chris, Joe, and some of the ARFCOM and NYFIREARMS crew. I wished I was able to stay and participate in the second half, but I'll definitely be attending an MDTS training in the future!

I want to thank Chris F for putting on an excellent training session last Saturday at Gander Mountain. I learned a lot and it was worth the drive.  The training was well based in research with techniques that would work in real life scenarios. He also touched on some of the legal aspects of protecting yourself  and how to avoid problems. Most importantly as the class was mixed with young and old, male and female he realizes not every one is LEO, ex- military, or matial arts master and can adjust his instruction according to the students level. He's also adept at utilizing "teachable moments" to point out mistakes to the class without embarrassing the offender.

All in all a day well spent!
