The group is called the Collings Foundation.  They brought in a B-24, a B-25 and the B-17.  They did show at Alliance, Denton, and Love field.

My wife and I took our kids over to Denton to see them.  It was well worth it.

4/7 - 4/9 Lubbock, TX (B-17, B-24 & B-25)

TP-51C "Betty Jane" will be joining the tour at some locations.

The 30-minute ride in the B-17 Nine-O-Nice was worth every penny of the $425

When they were in College Station....great turnout.  Enjoyed visiting with the many veterans and former aircrews that were there.
Very moving experience.....watching and talking with WWII aircrews as they walked around the B-17, B-25, B-24 etc.  It was tough for some of them....as they recalled their experiences, former crews, etc.

The small red sign in the nose, just above the chin turret reads "jets are for kids"

A few years ago, OK, it must have been at least 7 years ago, a B-24 (IIRC) took off from Love field, just to the west of our office building.  Aside from being very cool, I was amazed at how slowly it was moving!  I found out later they were giving some Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts a ride.  How cool would that be?
