Ummm, no, not even possible future friends let friends eat Rudy's BBQ. Try Slow Bone off of Irving Blvd. Oh and lone star is usually free if you cook Chili.

Their baby back ribs are ok enough to justify getting $1 Lone Stars. But generally speaking you are spot on.

I don't care for Lone Star and the are better BBQ places that are closer to me than Rudy's. That being said, to each his own.

I thought that meant somebody was going to pay me a buck to drink a Lone Star.

That's what I thought as well.
I wish I had a buck for every lone star I drank!

Do not care for Lone Star and do not care for Rudy's either. There are much better Bar-B-Que places also. Drive up the road and take hwy 5 to Hutchins Bar-B-Que, literally blows away the franchised Rudy's.

A ham sandwich and a $1 Lone Star.
Sounds like a good lunch to me.

I used to drink Pearl Light in a can because it was 90 cents at the Dixie Chicken.

The only good thing about Rudy's is that it is close to Cabela's. Pop in there and take advantage of the $6.74 5.56mm ammo deal.

Cool that they are celebrating what should be an important event in any true Texan's life. I will go.
Thank's OP. Everyone else seemed to miss the point.
I am going to visit the Alamo this month. I was "sworn in" as a Texan in 1997 at a chillimpiad in San Marcos
And I will be drinking a few lonestars with my breakfast tacos.

Lonestar and Lonestar Light were a $1. I would stick with them until the end of the night, then switch to a Pearl if I needed to be extra cheap.

+1 on Hutchins. It's one of my favorite BBQ places of all time. It also has the right atmosphere and I don't have to wait in a ridiculous line to eat it.
I make excuses to go to McKinney just so I can eat there.

Rudy's is the best "fast food" style BBQ around, and their tacos are pretty good.

When I first came to Texas in the 90s the folks I lived with until apt was ready had a beer fridge in the garage.
All Lonestar.
I had nothing to do until job started but drink Lonestar and grill burgers and dawgs.

Decades of smoke built up.
Smells awesome.
Reminds me of old black folks bbq shacks out in the country
Bsck in Alabama.

I've bought about 80% of the craft beers (except for IPAs, which are automatically crap) I can find locally and still haven't found one that didn't make me want to gag.
I've come full circle. Hell yeah I'll drink Lone Star
