I live in Nebraska but Rapid City, SD is one of the closest 'big cities' to me.
I'm taking a shot here and hoping someone knows of a good shop that does engine rebuilding in the area?
I need a couple of blocks hot tanked and magnafluxed. A bonus would be a shop that knows flathead fords.

We have always had good luck with Johnson Machine in Rapid City.

Pro Machine on Fairmont street does a lot of antique engine stuff.

I've heard that they are slow on getting stuff done, but I've never had this problem.

Johnson Machine (NAPA store) has always done very good work, very quickly for me, but they cost a little bit more.

Pauls Repair in Box Elder is another shop, but I don't have any experience with them.

Thanks I'll have to call Pro Machine

Johnson Machine quoted me $50 a block to hot tank, and $38 to magnaflux each. I inquired about flathead work and they said "It depends on you and the block."

I have used Paul's repair. Good service and good price. No complaints.
