What's up Memphis and all West Tennessee crew members.
It has been forever since we all got together and caught up, so let's remedy that with alunch early dinner at the just opened Schweinehaus in Overton Square. Two of our esteemed colleagues have already scoped out the place and said the food and the beer were wunderbar! (Pronounced Voon-durr-barr, that is a german word meaning fan-fucking-tastic!) For those that have not heard about it, Schweinehaus is a celebration of beer and pork, and it literally just opened on this past Monday. Here is a link to their website: http://schweinehaus.com/ Tentative date is set for Saturday October 4th at 12:00 noon. I just picked a Saturday a month away to give everyone plenty of notice, but if there is overwhelming demand to change the date, I am ok with whatever. So, to recap...... we are getting a bunch of guys together to meet up, drink beer, and eat wieners. We shall call it Snerd's Sausagefest! What sayeth the local crew? UPDATE Schweinehouse just announce they will be open for lunch at 11:00am, so..... this event has been moved back to 12:00 noon. You can see their lunch announcement, look at their menu, and get other news at their fb page: https://www.facebook.com/Schweinehaus?ref=br_tf |

Get together and eat weiners? Thought that was an average Saturday for you guys...
that said, I should be in. |

That's the same weekend as the Memphis Sport Shooting Association's
flea market. Do that first?

My only request on this beer hall meet-up, is that the term
"putsch" not be used.... |
|
Man...U Memphis guys have got it made. When y'all have a gathering, one guy decides the spot and everyone else joins in.
Here in Nashville...We've been hashing it out for ten days and still no closer to a final decision. |

Can't make no promises but I might have to drive in from Mercer for that one.

Awesome! We should have a great turnout. The last time we did this at the Flying Saucer we had close to 30 people. It was a blast. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I've already talked to Nolo, and he sends his regrets but he has prior commitments. You will get no such excused absence. |

**UPDATE**
Thanks to that asshole, HKOVERKILL my good friend, HKO, I have been informed that Schweinehaus has posted on their fb page that starting Saturday, they will be open at 11:00 am for lunch. So, I am changing this event back to lunch at high noon. It should be easier for all of the guys (and gals) to get away from the kids for lunch versus dinner. Plus, now that we are starting earlier, there may even be an after party at another nearby watering hole. We shall see........ |

Fucking bastards at work think 6-7 days a week with no known weekend off without using vacation on friday is a great way to get things done. But, I'll see, won't know till Thursday before. The one with The MS invasion was the last one I made, not counting 1 rifle only match a while back. |

View Quote That was spring of 2012 if my fading memory serves me, and we really haven't done a major crew get together since. We hope you can make it. To other Memphis area people reading this: If you have never been to a crew function before, these things are a blast. Don't be shy. We don't bite. We tell lots of stories, have a lot of laughs (normally at me),drink a few beers, and eat way too much! I know there are bigger AR15.com hometown groups in Texas and Washington state, but I will put our group up against anybody's as far as having good, friendly, down to earth people that have common interests and are a lot of fun to hang out with. |

By the by, High Cotton is doing an Oktoberfest thing that day. The missus and I are planning on attending.

The High Cotton gig is a ticketed event, think it's $40/head presale, $50/head at the door
