We all have one. That one place we dream of going to all the time. Lately, for me, it's been In-N-Out. Maybe it's just the eating low carb all week with the exceptions of Friday nights, but lately, there's nothing more delicious to me than a double-double, animal style, with a big iced tea to wash it down.

So what are some local places that are amazing? Part of this is curiosity, part of this is research for date nights.

When I want to splurge, either Sushi House in AF or Bam Bams in Orem.

Rib City Grill in American Fork, Toni will treat you right.

Great ribs, and gun friendly.  Here is a sign they have posted.

Moochies. Get an order of the fried raviolis with house made sauce.

Siegfried's Deli. The tiramisu rocks.

Trio. Good restaurant for a date. Costs about the same as a franchise, but way better food. Flatbread with goat cheese and roasted red peppers is amazing.

Tarahumara in Midway is fun for a little get away. The salsa bar alone is worth the trip. They have 20+ and the mango one is incredible.

R&R BBQ in SLC and Sean's Smokehouse in Saratoga. The owners are friends and the food is pretty similar. Both amazing and are 2A/ .mil friendly.

For high dollar, Cafe Madrid in Holladay. It is truly amazing food. If you don't know it year, many of the worlds best restaurants are in Spain fusing traditional cooking with high end creativity. This is that same kind of thing here.

Mid price, I love Bombay House, Royal India and Cafe Trang.

On the cheapish, I can't get enough Barbacoa.

Got some anti gluten hippie such as myself* in your party? All of those restaurants are great options

*Actual hippie and anti gluten content may very, consult your Retgarr for details.

So which is it?  You a hippie, anti- gluten, or just can't have it.

Because two of those reasons are unacceptable.

In-n-Out is in my blood, being SoCal native.  We're basically twinners now.

Recently we've liked La Jolla Groves in the Riverwoods (I remember you being in UT county now?), they're not particularly expensive and have good food.  The drink selection is meh at best, though, all the beer is bottled.

New Golden Dragon or Hong Kong Tea House are great Cantonese-style Chinese places with great noodle dishes. These two also have the best dim sum I've had outside of Hong kong or Seattle. J Wongs Bistro is good too.

The New Golden Dragon — 1716 South State Street. Just don't go there on Sat. nights or Sunday around noon. That's when all the Asians/Chinese in the State shows up. So you know it's authentic and good.
The Red Maple in Taylorsville is good too...

Lots of good suggestions so far. I'll add:

5 Star BBQ on Geneva Road and Center St. in Orem. Best BBQ I've ever had, including all over the southern states. Ribs, brisket Brunswick stew, beans, whatever, it's all good.
State Street Grill in Pleasant Grove. Little mom n pop joint with great burgers and the biggest portion of fish n chips I've ever seen.

I eat at Lucky 13 often, it's definitely my favorite burger place, anywhere.

The only other burger I've had that I can remember being that good was at a place called Father's Office in Santa Monica, CA.

BACON STINKY!
And tried the fried pickles.  I hate pickles but I love those.

And ill throw in DP cheese steaks if your looking for an authentic east coast philly.  They also have ginger beer and one of the few places that ever has ketchup potato chips.

And 2 favorite sandwich places are Sniders Bros and Pirate Os... who has the best meatball sub in Utah in my opinion

And Caputos has a killer Mufaletta

If any of you are ever in the Draper area, you need to eat at the Cliff Houst Gastro Pub. It's way up 123rd, just after 1300 E.

Fucking YUM.

They have these "Pan" cakes, that they make in a skillet. They're fucking huge, so.. consider yourself warned.

this is the Buttermilk Apple Pecan.

and the mimosas are very tasty

the SO had some sort of skillet thing was was fanfuckingtastic. It had artichoke hearts and shit

If you eat there and see a little hostess with blond and purple hair, tell her Terra sent you to harass her
