I am looking to join a credit union to park some of my finances in.

I am looking for local insight from credit union member as to which ones may be better than others.


One of the most important criteria is online banking; since I travel 100% for work, I need quick and easy access to accounts.


Any info ARFpeeps have would be greatly appreciated!

I've been with America's First for about 10 years, and I love it.
They don't charge any fees for checking, savings, mobile deposit, or any of their other services.
I can take pictures of checks and they're in my account within hours. and I can pay all my bills online. Plus everyone I've met at their branches are friendly.
I usually go to the Leeds, Trussville, or Roebuck branches because I'm on the east side of town, but they have them pretty much everywhere.

+1 on America's First.  Been a member close to twenty years or so.  Always a pleasure dealing with them.

I currently use Regions, but the fees are ridiculous.


I also use USAA, so I am thinking usaa + credit union is going to be a better combo.
