The first use of the castle doctrine in Ky was a 60 year old guy that shot at 2 fleeing robbers with a glock in 40 caliber. Just because they are fleeing doesn't mean you can't shoot them.

They are never fleeing. They are always either going for a tactically superior position providing cover/concealment or they are trying to flank you.

Both perps are expected to survive. Maybe they can tack on a charge of animal cruelty. I hope they can find some more charges to add.
