Does anyone have any recent data or experience with how long the IL conceal carry licenses are taking to process? With or without fingerprints?
Thanks! |

35 days from application to in hand. With fingerprints.
It went to "Active" status on the ISP website on the 33rd day. On applications with fingerprints, I think the ISP verifies and approves applications pretty fast. Then there is some "list" of applicants that they put up for all agencies to see, and they can file an objection to the license. They have 30 days to do so. If no objections within 30 days, they fire it off to you pretty quick. If you have a FOID issued before the CCL was available, they'll issue a new one of those too, with the same # as the CCL. |

Just submitted today I hope to see it by May. We go on vacation in March but I doubt it will happen that quick. No prints.

You can append your app and add the prints at any time if you decide you want to.
Applied first week of sept, got first week of Jan, no prints.
And as an fyi, if your app shows having gone active, reports are the CCL printer is down and awaiting repair before your card can get printed and mailed out.

View Quote I think it's far past time they use some of that CCL license money and buy a spare printer, so that people's civil rights aren't held hostage to a printer malfunction. |
