Have any of you had any contact with "BSIS" Armed Security guards in central Ohio? I'm in the hiring process for the Columbus Police Department, and I'm moving back to Columbus in short order. In the mean time I'm looking for an Armed Security guard job in Cbus.

I saw this post on craigslist, but the email reply I got seemed sort of...off. The English in the email just seemed off, like it wasn't the senders primary language. This in and of itself doesn't necessarily disqualify them from consideration, but it did make me want to research them more before I sent them any more data.

I did a google search for "BSIS" and have yet been unable to locate any information. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

P.S. If anyone knows of armed security companies hiring in the Cbus area and would like to send me the info, I'd be very appreciative.

My job has situations that requires me to use an armed escort. On occasion I work in areas where the guard should probably have a guard.

The following have been provided by my contact and have performed very well. I do not know the details of working for these companies only that most of the people I have worked with were professional. I have never heard of or dealt with the company in your original post.

You could also try the Armored Car companies in the area. (Garda is listed at A T Systems in the link)

Good Luck

ETA - check Limited Brands, I think they use their own security but not Armed.

Nationwide does use both if I remember correctly

Limited won't have armed guards because guns are bad and lead to violence.

Except when it comes to Les's private security detail, of course...

And I've seen them a few times a week in a convoy here of Porsche Cayenne SUV's - Les has the Turbo, his escorts have non-turbos

Fuckers block the road to my Starbucks when he gets his coffee by one of his "boys."

I've been told that all his security are deputized in New Albany. That's a nice deal, if true.

Took a class at NASR with them.  Nice bunch of guys.  The GSD they had was pretty awesome.  Throwing the ball was fun, getting it back, not so much.

Have you asked in the Ohio section on officer.com? If you don't have a account there it takes a while for them to approve one. Good luck with getting in. I'm also in the hiring process but with Toledo.
