Bought a composite stock for my Scout rifle so now I have a laminate stock and trigger guard I don't need. Can it be used by any other M77 short action?

I have the same situation. It is just sitting there telling me to put a barreled action in it.

I'm pretty sure the front bolt being angled is different than the other guns

This article talks about the differences between a GSR receiver and an M77/Hawkeye receiver. Short answer is that you could probably make the stock fit another gun but no it's not a simple drop in.
