Don't get me wrong I love my 10.5" sbr but this just feels so much more balanced.  This BCM just came in today and I love the feel of the KMR.  Can't wait to get it to the range this weekend.  This will be the second SBR I've switched from 10.5 to 11.5.  I still have one more that is10.5 and I'm not changing that one because I still have a lot of love for it.

Anything gets hot if you shoot it hard enough I use the panels for better grip as the kmr is pretty slick. I did have to take a few off as it wasn't cooling as well, everything has its +/-

I submitted my form 1 to build an 11.5" a few days ago, I'm thinking about using the KMR-A 10 also.

I haven't decided for sure yet.

I'm a 10.5 fan... It still feels "short" to me, without going sub 10.5 yet anything longer seems like unnecessary length.

Also, I LOVE the feel of a KMR, but every one that I've shot got WAY TOO HOT too quickly. Compared to my DD lite rail and seekins MCSR, there's a noticeable difference in heat transfer to your hand. There's a trade off for being super thin, your hand/rail is closer to the barrel.

Only thing with the BCM barrel is that the YHM QD mount bottomed out before it hit the shoulder of the barrel and I had to use some shims.

Hey guys can I play

11.5 and 10.3

The 11.5" is my favorite.  Looks like a few of us like the same combos

The fluted elw upper will end up on my balios lite lower once the stamp clears, upper will be swapped with a balios lite, and get a titanium barrel nut and gas block.  Hopefully it will almost float with a direct thread omega attached

The urx 3.1/bfh barreled upper was supposed to be on a w.a.r. upper.  I need the gas port opened for it to function, so I'm gonna do that and maybe dimple the barrel- then I'll get a qd muzzle device on and stop messing with the direct thread module on the saker k.

I want to put together a mini precision rig with a bcm 11.5" stainless barrel but that's down the project list a bit.

Specs on this one please!!??

Especially the upper/ handguard specs..

I have my full DD 11.5 sbr I'm considering either cutting to 10.3, or get a new handguard to run with my specwar k still in jail..

Yours looks great

i've gravitated towards the 11.5" also , for 5.56 they're a good compromise.

Appreciate it.. I like where this thread is going...

So here's my recent 11.5 sbr. Specwar k is still in jail, trying to decide on a 10.3 chop, or a longer handguard like most in this thread...

Any input??

Get both is always the answer. I would only go 10.3" if you are doing a proper MK18 clone. I mean using all the parts.

I debated between the KMRA 10 and the URX4 MLok. I went KMR just for the ease of installation. Have an 11.5" Sionics reduced gas port barrel.

Ok, anything added to the end of a rifle will make it more nose heavy. It's a lot less nose heavy than my 16" or 18"tobr with cans mounted on them. So yes, it is balanced to me.
