I received mine as well today. How many set screws did you receive? I only received 1 set screw.
Sorry, I meant locking screws. There are couple of holes for the locking screws, do we need 2 locking screws?
There was one long screw, to fasten it and one short set screw to tighten it up on the pic rail as per the instructions. Mine is very tight, no rattles.

The last instruction threw me off because it says "Tighten left and right set screws..." and the housing has two locations for the set screws. |

When did you guys place your orders? I placed mine on 9/2 and have still not received a shipping confirmation.

My new SB-Tactical collapsible brace arrived today. I couldn't be happier with it. Decided to keep this little guy as a pistol for transport / backpack duty. Still waiting on mine, but I didn't get in on the preorder until a week or so later so it will likely be a while. How does the extended length compare to the length of the folding brace? Or can you just give an overall length from extended stock to muzzle if you don't mind? Looks like there is plenty of length for those of us with longer arms. |

Collapsed - 21 inches Extended - 25.5 inches This guy sells replacement extended rods for the MPX for the factory stock. They may or may not work with the brace, but cheap enough and worth an email to them. http://titleiiarms.com/ |

I believe the MAC video said the length of pull on the SBT brace is less than the Sig side folder. Any comment on theoretical length of pull? It's been my main concern on it.
The MAC video also said that the side folder is smaller when folded than the retractable brace when retracted. Something to keep in mind if you need it small to fit in a backpack or low profile case.
Agreed about the overall length longer that the side folder when both collapsed. I need a new backpack, but will tell you that I won't be going back to the side folder.

I understand that the SB brace will add a little length when retracted over the folded Sig brace, but im ok with that. I plan on doing the chop to 4.5" soon and figuring out what to do about a handguard. The other I question I have is about the optic, did you already have the RMR on their before you switched to the collapsible brace? If so, did you have it that low with the folding brace? Mine currently wears an EOTech, and im wondering if that will be too high once the collapsible brace is on there. Does it lower the height of your cheek weld at all going down to the tubes of the brace when extended? |

I had the RMR on low mount prior to switching braces. I can see it as well with both brace options. I like the low mount, even though I can't co witness the BUIS. The RMR is on a LaRue QD mount, incase of failure. My Cheek placement is pretty close to the other brace. It does add to the overall length by a few inches, as a result I need a new transport bag. I found a killer deasl on SIG MPX Bags, I hope the brace fits as they didn't have dimensions. So why does this look different than what shows on their website and other pics of the telescoping arm brace? The push button mechanism is completely different from the picture on here and what has been shown. Am I missing something?

View Quote Some of the pics that they have in their website or facebook are from the prototype brace. The only difference that I could see is the housing of the brace. From my understanding, it's one of the reasons why they were behind on shipping the PSB braces out to their customers because SB Tactical had to improve the design of the housing along with other stuff. |
I am very pleased with it. I fired it on Wed evening. Not as comfortable to cheek as the shockwave, but worth it to me for the usability / quick deployment.

That looks awesome! Can I get a link to where you purchased it?

View Quote The block you see in some of their pictures is SB Tactical's original mounting block supplier's design- that aupplier was never able to actually get any into production. That was the delay on this product being launched by SB Tactical. They came to us, I had the block designed, simplified, refined, improved, and started production within a week of them contacting us. That is the design you now see on the production arm braces- less parts and more user friendly. Sven Manticore Arms Sven Manticore Arms Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Wanted to bump this up and get some real impressions of this stock from the few of you that have them.

So guys few questions:
Is it push button release to adjust? Are there multiple settings? Easy to install? Thanks! BTW those Sig deployment bags mentioned...I ordered one and proceeded to immediately sell it. Seemed cheap, floppy, and single sling....I am using a Vertex Gamut pack for the same price and much better quality. |

Wow I didn't even know these existed, very cool. I use one of those LA police gear diaper bags, and with the folding brace the mpx fits great, I think the collapsible brace may be a bit too long for it though. Looks like you have the appropriate trigger in there as well edub. Love mine

Heard from another guy who was told they expect to be caught up on backorders next week or the following...

FYI the original design we made for SB Tactical was for the mounting block to fit the MPX.
After that first batch they asked us to make it compatible with both the MPX and MCX, so all mounting blocks are now compatible with both guns. The blocks both function the exact same, just a change to the countours st the reveiver end of the block to make it work with the two different receiver end contours. Also wish the rails could have been long enough to fill the grooves on the side of the gun. |

Also, if the rods were longer they wouldnt work on an MCX. I understand your concern onthe button height, but to be honest we have not had any other complaints on the button height and it isnt really any higher than the button SIG uses on their slider stock. SIG defined the envelope, we just work within that envelope. Sven Manticore Arms Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
