What lengths are we expecting? how about a shot from the front?

Also curious about the length options. And are the able to fit over the Sig suppressors?

In the other thread you mentioned it having a pin? It kinda sounded like it mounts different then the stock handguard? Can you elaborate??
also, whats the price points? |

View Quote It has a 4140 heat treated retaining clip . It mounts the same as the factory unit. Takes less than a minute to install. The 12.5 version shown in this thread retails at 189.95. Are the carbine handguards going to basically be two M-Lok slots shorter, and the pistol handguards basically three slots shorter?
Each slot and it's spacing between should be a little over 1.5". If so, then the carbine length should be perfect for a 10.3-10.5" barrel. |

Damn you guys are slaying it! I love the look of that. Been throwing around the idea of an MCX. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you got planned for my MPX.

You guys have not even felt this yet. My answer to narrower is no. These feel as slim as our AR-15 units. They are only .125 wider. You have to feel the overall shape in your hand. The stock unit feels big because its shaped like a 2x4. These have a much different feel due to the shape of the bottom and the lower height. The other factor on making them much narrower is the way the lines blend with the receiver and the way it slides in to it. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Nice!
Finally another aftermarket rail. If I ever get around to buying an MCX, I'll put one of these rails on it. @Midwest_Ind Will your Canadian distributor being carrying these? |

Ok, I'm interested. Definitely for the 4.5" barrel, maybe on the 8" barrel, and I'm even thinking of a 6" barrel for the future. View Quote thanks for your interest and patience . Troy MI |

How's the heat from the barrel? Since the bottom of the handguard seems closer to the barrel than with the factory setup, I'm concerned about the heat as I really don't like AFGs or VFGs, and normally don't wear gloves. With the factory handguard, I use BCM rail covers.

Based on my experiences with the Gen 3 MI on the AR, you will not have any issues with this set up in regards to heat, they are some solid HG's

I'm very much looking forward to the MPX handguard, and this has gotten me to seriously consider getting an MCX pistol as well.
Keep up the great work, MI! |

Update.
The longest version of the standard MCX will be a 15 inch model NOT 15.5. We did this to make sure all suppressors and adapters will work with out any issues. The look , feel and function are still awesome. Thanks Troy MI |

Midwest Industries, you guys are my heroes.
I love that you were able to slim down the MCX handguard by jogging the bottom up after the barrel nut area. I'm kicking myself because I just bought a pistol length keymod rail from SIG, but you guys have the good stuff now. I'll be picking up an 8.5" as soon as they're available! Once again, you guys are awesome! |
